I didn't see a bug report site for Skyrim, so I decided to go to the official forums. I've tried completing the Investigate Shroud Hearth misc. quest multiple times throughout my play through. Every time I visit it, I can never find Wyndelius's Journal. I know that its in his room on the desk, but in my game it doesn't show up. I've only see two books that are not Wyndelius's journal, and a satchel. I've cleared my Xbox 360's cache multiple times, but still no fix. Does it have some prereq quest that I need to complete?I was wondering if this can be fixed in a patch, or is there a way Bethesda to push some software update to my 360 alone. Other than that, the game is great and keep up the good work!

If everything is how you are suppose to proceed with the quest keep looking around. You may have knocked the book off the desk where its supose to be located. It happened to me for an item for a certain thieves Guild member.

I just did that quest last night with no problems, the book is on the desk after you kill the guy, you possibly knocked it off the desk.

I've talked to him before, and I see the quest under my Misc. Quest list. I've tried doing this around level 18ish, and now I'm level 49. Still no good.




If I knocked it off the table, shouldn't it respawn on the table when I re-enter the cave? The other items/stuff respawned.
