wyre bashmash tells me that there is a problem with dawnguar

Post » Wed Oct 03, 2012 3:06 am

hi all.

with my 80 mods I just now got Dawnguard, to play with the Requiem mod.

wyre bash gives to me an error at the dawnguard line. the line is red. in the Oblivion bash, this means i need to change the mod-date. but not here apparently.

there seems to be a message something about the resources not found or timed right.

the Bsa. do i need to "register" it somehow in the ini files in my skyrim game folder?

do i need to register the other bsa files for my other mods that have them?

I am not knowing about skyrim bsa files. apparently not the same as for the other elder scroll games!

oir does this bash error not really matter? go ahead anyway?

thanks freestone.

See the Bash thread: http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1412088-relz-wrye-bash-thread-who-knows-well-go-with-10/

To answer the question, the reason is that it cannot see the strings file. I believe you need to extract it from the BSA.

You need to extract them in order for Bash to realize there's no error. You don't actually need to extract them for there to be no error. There is, in fact, no error.

I was explaining why it was in red. Should've clarified that. :P

my...that was quick, thank you all!

then there IS no error. no wonder i could not find anything about this.

but how will the bash patch react to this? will it affect the creation of the bash patch?

otherwise....no concern.

Best to ask in the Bash thread. I have it linked above.

looks like i might have to make my bash patch without dawnguard or its dependent files!

this does not sound good to me at all! especially for a DLC that plays *with* the game.

maybe i should just extract the bsa. maybe i should then copy the scripts into my script folder and then use the original bsa with these extracted scripts.
