(PC) XBOX 360 controller ready?

Was wondering if a 360 controller will work on the PC version? I know the new MOH has major issues with the this but does New Vegas have an answer?

It should, since the control scheme is practically just a remap.

"Should" doesn't really mean much.

For reference, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion for the PC did not port over with native control for a 360 controller on the PC and it pissed people off to no end, myself included. That game's controls for PC were also "practically a remap," which means when they ported the title to PC they actually removed that piece of code from the game.

It was modded in but the controls were never as smooth as playing on the Xbox.

The PC keyboard/mouse controls are much, much better for precise control of this game, but sometimes it does just sound really good to put your feet on the desk, recline deeply in your leather deskchair and continue playing with a controller.

Yes, it simply works when detected. It will kill the KB/M completely until turned off.

main reason why I want to use a controller besides the comfort for my wrists is the fact that no matter how high or low i set the sensitivity to my mouse its seems to lag a bit and jump around instead of move smoothly... I have tried different mouse pads and mice but to no avail... any thoughts on that issue?
