A week ago I turned on my Xbox 360 (from 2007) and I would go a couple minutes into a game and it would just freeze. Since my warranty is obviously up, my friend and I took it apart and got his air compressor and cleaned out a ton of dust. Even with all of the dust gone, it still does the same thing. It freezes at a random time whether with a game in it or not. I deleted some memory and even cleared the Hard Drive cache but that doesn't work. The Xbox even freezes with the hard drive out of it. I have no clue what the problem is especially cuz it's not even getting red rings or anything. Can anyone help?

Well, this is what was happening to my original 360 a little before the rrod showed up. It might be your xbox telling it that it's dying. :/

Might be time for you to look into a new one, sadly. At least you were a lucky one. Like me, your original xbox lasted a lot longer than the average for them. Got my first 360 around launch, didn't have to get a new one until August of last year.

Hmmm that's a bummer. My brother got the three red rings of death. So he wrapped it in a cold towel and it worked. It worked fine for another few weeks.

Probably shouldnt have opened it up but I had a similair problem with my older 360 and its most likely the fans. I would take your 360 and set it up in an open space and get a fan to blow directly on it. And if you can, try to bring the temp down in the room that you're using it in. Other than that you cant get it repaired now because you've cracked her open so if you cant get it to run at all then bring it in to gamestop and get at least something for it....in-store credit I think you'll get 20-25 bucks with HD.
