That said, I felt obliged to stop playing and come on to the forums to talk about the textures. Now, tests show a negligible difference between installed vs uninstalled in terms of the textures, but I believe that's mostly irrelevant anyway. I believe that it would be best to have a high res texture pack dropping for the 360. There's no doubt we need it, and I was originally expecting it and am still willing to pay extra to do so. I sincerly hope that Bethesda can fix this problem quickly, because I have to concede, it is impacting my enjoyment of the game quite significantly now and I really can't afford to stop playing just to wait for another fix.
I hope that Bethesda values it's Xbox 360 customers as much as they do for their PC fanbase and as such, I genuinely hope that this is fixed as soon as is humanly possible.
My only other observations whilst playing are the slight freezing in the menus and there was one area of Skyrim when the framerate plummeted almost to a total crash. It was after I left Windhelm and headed south across the plains towards the south-eastern city. I saw some giants, was attacked by some of those rat-like creatures and then the framerate died. I ran towards Windrun and it freed up again, so maybe that area needs a bit of work.
I hope you guys see this thread and I look forward to enjoying Skyrim in all of intricacy and glorious detail.
