XSO - Xodarap's Skyrim Overhaul

(Sorry, lost my old password, so once I get it from an admin, I'll probably change names mid-thread :P)

So... I'm planning on creating another modular, pick-and-choose, scalable/customizable overhaul mod. (See http://xfo-nv.com for what I did with NV - I did an even more massive one for FO3 proper, but that site's gone)

I won't have a ton of time for playing - I tend to spend a lot more time modding, anyway, but in particular, I'll need a lot of suggestions, requests, and game feedback, especially about balance.

Good ideas are, for example, my first plan so far: to allow scaling of perks per level - since there are 250 perks and about 70 levels, it makes sense to me to allow multiple perks per level. Other counterbalances, as always, would be put in place to preserve overall challenge and depth; and, as with XFO, it would all be up to you and customizable. But those are the kinds of ideas I need. I'm sure I'll do a lot more than that with the perks, probably add a ton and rebalance what's there.

Right now, I don't even know if they've maintained the level-scaling enemies that I always hated. I'll get on playing the game in about a week - might start modding before then.

While I'm here, though, I want to fish for the word from other modders regarding the current state of the frontier. I had 50k downloads of XFO before that creation kit even got released; I was doing it all with hex editing and timeslip's TESSnip's script compiler. I've noticed that TESSnip, however, crahses immediately on trying to load skyrim's esm, and TES4Edit/FNVEdit (and FOMM) all force me to use their natural paths. If there's an early version of a similar SkyrimEdit, TESSnip, or SMM, I'd be happy to assist in creating a filled-out XML and subrecord layout from hex testing. Even after the GECK came out, I preferred the straightforwardness of TESSnip, and it took no time for us to figure out all the records, etc.

(PS: don't PM me, please, since I'll be switching back over to my normal account after I can iron out the password thing - also, sorry if this post seems chaotic, as I haven't had any sleep in a couple days :P )
