Because they find it amusing.

To a hacker, nothing is funnier than a thread like this, and the fact that they have caused someone so much rage that they felt the need to make a thread full of CAPSLOCK SWEARING. It's the same thing as griefing in other games: some people get kicks out of making others rage.

I don't know why people cheat man, I fail to see how it's fun. I been playing FPS for almost 10 years now (oh yeaa!), and I will never ever understand why people cheat. It's just gay as ****, and ruin other people fun, yay?

Hmmm. You may be onto something there... Perhaps we can sort this out by just having EVERYONE cheat. I will change the way the game was intended to be played, but who cares. At least it'll be an even playing field.

Yeah, they aren't really "hacking" anything. They're exploiting glitches in the game, therefor they are glitchers.

I think that's the point... They cheat, to get a rise out of people who are legitimately playing the game. These are people who probably grew up torturing small animals.

yea...update did nothing...hax to be found on every server.
so...trying to make them hackers realize how pathetic they are doesnt change anything. Crytek has to fix that with their highest effort or the game will be dead soon.
One of the best methods against cheaters would be to forbid hacking/cheating by law world wide. However I doubt this is practicable.
