Yet another huge bug - Interior cell as a static limit

Post » Thu Jun 21, 2012 11:43 pm

Hi

I'm excited to warn the community but I'm not excited with the bug, I'm making a video but i have to tell you right away.

Conditions:

-Load door in interior cell that connects to load door in exterior cell causes ctd
-Cow same exterior cell causes blue screen

After many hours of testing I've come to this conclusion, there's a limit in room static pieces that you can put in a interior cell, so it's better for you all to start dividing your big dungeons into smaller ones.

It's an old problem with esp files. Bad memory management or something.

Bump, can someone PLEASE tell me what to do with the script? Where do I put it? In the load door? In the load marker? In a quest? Here? Thanks.

You can also just make your mod an esm.

I can't, because Steam doesn't accept that.

I'm trying with quest and onload event, if I do it I will put the script in the wiki so I help others, I hate keeping bumping into problems from the Dinosaur age.

I've sent Gstaff a PM about this issue. Hopefully he'll see it and report it to Bethesda as soon as possible.

It works both sides, I'm gonna put everything in the wiki, gonna try to make it step by step so it doesn't get confusing for you and others.

Hope it is, takes more time to make a good tutorial than a solution, damn.

Then don't use SW.

Fix your problem and you can still upload to the nexus. (Which has about 900% the downloads...)

You can also just make your mod an esm.
Converting into an esm isn't the answer to every problem. What you're doing justifies it, doing it to dodge every little engine bug that might crop up doesn't. Especially since most people won't know how to generate the necessary ONAM records that actually make esm's editing vanilla content work properly.

Still, I need mine as .esp so either I fix it or dice the dungeon into unspecified sized chunks till it works... Nice workaround, will give it a test in a bit :)
