On your dashboard, go to "my games," and Doom and Doom 2 show up in there. Launch the games from there and even if installed they will launch. I'm not sure how the devs and mods missed this, considering they made the game, but it works.

yup that in fact works, it must just unlock it from xbox arcade since its the same game, thanks

and the reason i install it isnt for better performance but to not overwork my 360 due to it being on for long periods of time, its nice and quiet, no disc spinning

Slight oversight in the FAQ (I've gone ahead and added it). Our main goal with the FAQ was to let players know why they were running into an issue if they were already at the main screen of the game.
