Wondrous. Another hilariously laughable concept, erroneously construed in a pathetic attempt at irony.

Of course it won't. There isn't an MMO around where that actually happens. The shocking hyperbole shown in these forums that is so filled with such disgusting hate is frightening.

Was not attempting irony. Was attempting reality.

By our varliance we shall raise the Elk to emperor.
Our glory shall wash undefeated across the land and the ruby throne will be held in his honour.

Have you ever been on the internet?

For reference, try reading the SWTOR forums. The
MMO community (PvP'ers in particular) is the most jaded,
harsh, fickle, petty, and not very nice group on the planet.

it is a very realm possibility of that happening if you will be realistic about it, but, there are many steps that can be taken to assure it will not be. hopefully zenimax has anticipated this and solved the problem before it has even been created

Which is why decent people only whisper and ignore the rest. Preferably even turn off the rest.

In what game did you ever see the general chat be useful in any way other than trading announcements?

And people care because?

Temple Zeroth can still have its dreamisleeve bursts without anyone else even being wise to it.
Come to think of it, it would provide a pleasing meta if lore-monkeys constantly kept the varliance a screw above simplistic expression.

-~Testing, testing, can you reach us? I swear this gel-culi has reached the edge of its function..
Master, your surmise was correct. The impossipoints colliding into this particular Numisphere have reached critical antagodensity.
Please quickly provide us with the runes neccesary to exact extraction gradiating 90% or above.
-Hark, Hark! The impossipoint Mundrical exations have reached saturation. All examplaries rated level omega or below are advised to wear gloves of quickening.

Yes, by making an MMO no one will care about.

It won't. It'll actually be worse. There's a reason most mmo's provide ignore / censor / report options for chat.

Fantastic. It's quaintly adorable to see the lethargic swarthes of idiocy, hauling their fetid, decrepit forms of iniquity and inanity through the forums, vomiting their botched opinions that they will defend to the ignorant death. Truly, if one finds the lore of this game awfully breaking and inconsistant, that person has little grasp of lore. If one feels that the game will become filled with immature spammers, then it is simply their own doing by not aiding in the diluting of the minority that make up griefers. Perhaps if those obstreperously backwards loud ones who flail and curse at every misguided opportunity that "OMG TES IS BAD HAHAHAHA LOLOLOL YOU BAD TES NOW SJKSJS TES BAD OMG SP DEAD TES BAD BETH BAD YOU HAHA" noticed that the single player aspect of the game is being left quite alone, they would shirk their shells of glaring immaturity.

Indeed, there are bad things I have already noticed about the game. The idea that "technical restraints" has made it into a WoW-based combat system is infuriating to say the least. But to be so ignorantly opposed to something that offers the tool to create spontaneous roleplay is sheer folly. Feel free to tell me how roleplay is possible in single player, but the truth is that roleplay is only ever furthered and improved with people.

The sickening abbundance of failings that the whining masses produce is ghastly.

EDIT: Perhaps what is laughable, however, is the fact that clearly people who have never played an MMO are discussing this. "It will be worse," they cry, "that's why MMOs have ignore functions". Quaint. However, from the plethora of MMOs I have played, I can firmly tell you all that this ignorant, misinformed hyperbole is quite untrue.

I don't know what mmo's you have played, but you clearly never have played EQ2 or WoW. The OP's post was too clean.

It is from those two, as well as Guild Wars, that my opinion is derived. It is clear you're letting your misguided hatred for change warp and cloud your opinion, so I'll overlook it, and I urge anyone who wishes for an unbiased view to do this also.

"Dude, have you seen our rules yet?"

"Why, what did I do?"

"Forgot to read the rules that include one against spam, one against forum games and even another against avoiding the autocensor."

"Oh, I see I will be happy to read them right away so I never make that mistake again."
