Do you confirm that player.setscale has effect on strength ?

Hi,
I made my warrior character a bit taller with setscale, and it seems that not only does this has an effect on size, and speed, but also on power.
Do you confirm that ?

For example creating a giant character size 4, single or double shot kill guards in city, which isn't possible with normal size character, so I guess there is still an effect even on modest increase in size.

Do you confirm this ?

You must have been reading the same thread I was because someone already brought this up and tested it, so seeing as you felt it necessary to copy that person, the answer I think is yes. It does affect your run/walk speed and it seems to affect melee damage. This effectively makes the High Elves superior in stats to every other race by default.

It has not in previous games and I don't see why it would not. All it does is scale everything visual up about your character, including height, as consequently movement speed. But that should be it, I don't think it affects health or damage or anything else. Unless that's new to Skyrim. (But I can't think of why they would possibly do that.)

Not too happy about this, as it means Altmer are stronger than any other race, despite their slender bodyshape. It also means that a big hulking Orc is faster than a Kahjiit or Woodelf.

Oh wow. That makes no sense.... I would love to get a developer in here to explain that. I'm honestly curious now!

All the previous games had Attributes to regulate/counter & mitigate the effects of that. Skyrim doesn't, looks like formula's got screwed up when they yanked out the attributes.

[Edit: probably being caused by the Physics Engine/Physic Model incorporated into the meshes & knockback/stagger effect chances, probably by design but not exactly 'checked' for maintaining its output integrity. Having an element ripped out of a complex equation {which is what the whole 'game' engine basically is} tends to have a lot of unstabilising effects]]
