If you could change the outcome of one quest, what would it

If you could change the outcome of one quest, or in general anything about one specific quest, what would it be?
For example I always wanted to save Whiterun from the battle, spare it from the war hitting it.

Don't know, most quest end with "a turn it in to this guy". Uh...I don't know. I guess with the College of Winterhold questline at the end I would have made Tolfdir the Arch-mage rather than myself and would have made Vilkas or Aela the Harbinger.

I would save Lucian or however you spell it from Oblivion Dark Brotherhood quest-line. Why oh why did he have to die... his voice was simply amazing

Gormlaith is devoured by Alduin. Alduin is harder to get to and harder to defeat. Fun reward after defeating Alduin.

I would allow for the Dragonborn to make the case for Paarthurnax's life with the Blades. Set it to be the hardest speechcraft skill check (which is currently letting Faralda admit you to the College without passing the test).

I don't understand why this was omitted in the first place. Probably my biggest gripe with the game.

If i have no need to kill Stormcloak or Imperial when running into the keep when the dragon attacking Helgen, at that time, i am no Imperial or Stormcloak

Edit ; I did in one playthrough try to get out/escape from Helgen, but the gate won't open, and the dragon seems to interested in me, fire breath me

Edit 2 : remain in building no good either, the game won't progress, because must follow Hadvar or Ralof, i did try to jump off some rocks to get to the other side of Helgen, it cannot be

Edit 3 : Logically, i will take advantage of the chaos and escape Helgen, to hell with the Imperials and Stormcloak

Got several. Will add spoiler tag myself.
Spoiler

* Thieves Guild - Avoid Nocturnal.
* Blades - Spare Paarthy.
* Various - Institute skill requirements for highest rank (Archmage, etc.)
* Cidna Mine - If you side with the Forsworn, they stop attacking you.
* Innocence Lost - Aventus becomes adoptable.

Others as they occur to me.

Spare Paarthy! You hear us, Bethesda? We want more ways of dealing with this quest. Please fix it; I love dragons, and I'm not someone's (the blades...especially Delphine) doormat.

I'd like to be able to trick a thief or agressive adventurer who wants to harm me into comming with me to Boethiah's shrine and sacrifice them.

Much better (and greatly satisfying) than having to rely on a sword for hire or other followers.

Dark Brotherhood: Spare the Emperor
Earning Eola: She's an amazing follower (powerful) but I hate that the only way to gain her is to... well, you know.

Kill the REAL amaund montierre. This is no joke, that jerk who hired you to kill the emperor used a decoy to pay you after you finished with the emperor. And tidus said, kill the person who is behind this plan. So you did, and you murdered amaund montierre in the bannered mare except that....HE is not the real montierre.

The real guy is probably out there, laughing at you for trying to kill him because he knows that tidus mede 2 is going to ask the dragonborn to kill the planner. So clever amaund montierre decided to use a decoy. Smart move, but i really wished there was an option to kill montierre the moment you meet him at volunruund. Who cares about astrid and the night mother, this guy used you.

I don't want to be railroaded into becoming a Werewolf. Most questlines in Skyrim suffer something like this, which is why the only major line I've completed is the CW

I've never been a fan of having to become a werewolf in order to complete the Companions.
