Outside the game, I wish I was able to Mod without having to spend hours practising.

If I could have one thing changed about the game it would be that
Spoiler
You didn't have to become a werewolf to complete the Companion's questline
Totally agree with you, it kind of ruined that particular questline for me the first time, I had to wait for the right character to roleplay.

to actually build up the DB in skyrim and make them better.
like getting some new sanctuaries and putting speakers, recruits, and all that in each of them.

you make a good point, even though at the end of the questline everyone is happy and optomistic it is a little bare bones

I don't really get this fascination with spell creation. Though I've only used it in Oblivion and don't know if it exists in Morrowind. In Oblivion however I thought it exposed the raw mechanics of the game system a little too much for me. It was too easy to cheat with it. Not to say I didn't use it though.

Don't see how it would work in Skyrim though, as I don't see much opportunity to innovate, considering the range is more or less covered by the existing vanilla spells. Maybe more viable if one had more spell effects to choose from (they seem to nerf them every generation). Edit; then again there IS effect combination, but I'm not sure how that would work, which is why I initially disregarded the concept, forgetting the initial premise of the topic

If anything I would add a more flexible enchanting system. "Breaking down" enchantments just seems so ... arbitrary to me. That, or more books. Books that lead you to places and things. Like the Legend of the Red Eagle book. Only without the obvious quest marker that it throws in. Something you figure out on your own initiative (could blend this with the Daedric Lord quests).

I realise that's two, maybe even three, so shoot me.

I want the limit on the number of rendered lights to be configurable. Eye candy ftw. *waits for a Skyrim Graphics Extender*

(I was going to say intelligently-written quests, but that's really just a new game.)

More cult based stuff, mainstream is fun but it's really hard to truly feel apart of it. Morrowind and especially Daggerfall had been the last two great TES cult games and I miss the much more complicated workings of those two.

You know with extra witch heads you can cure lycanthropy right?

What I want is to ride Odaviing into battle like Shadowmere on steroids, or more armors, either would do.

The ability to change the quiver your arrows are stored in, like having the quiver seperate from the arrows. And I'm not just saying this because of that one thread, I've wanted this for a long time.

Yeah I do and that is a good thing, but it didn't fit in with my RP.

hardcoe mode (eating, drinking, sleeping etc).

Spell crafting (only if balanced better than oblivion).

Extended weapons crafting (ability to improve silver weapons etc).

Extended actions while on horseback (magic, talking to npcs etc).

But if forced to choose only one of those things... the HC mode.
It made New Vegas for me, I loved it.
