If you were in charge of a developer, what changes would you make, new directions for series'?

To get the ball rolling - I'd sweep out the leadership and pr departments of both Bethesda and Bioware.
Have Bethesda make something set in the near future, with a focus on character, narrative and consequence - bring writing kicking and screaming to the forefront. That and no more gamebryo/creation engine.
Bioware I'd have them try making an surrealist adventure as opposed to yet another party based rpg.
Fallout License goes back to Interplay and a spruced up version of Van Burren gets made.
I'd have id make anything other than yet another fps/tech demo. I'd want to encourage Romero's sentiments of "design is law".
I'd keep the team the same but I'd be fascinated to see what CD Projekt would do with an espionage/stealth game set in 1950's Cold War Europe.
Eidos Montreal. I'm not sure why but I'd be really interested to see what they'd do with the System Shock series.

How about everyone else? How would you like to see developers change?

Stop being greedy, power-obsessed, business-only [censored]tards who make [censored] games for stupid people.

I'd make Bethesda release DLC discs on DLC release day. I'm not the only one who can't get on the internet with his xbox.

I would gather all former Troika employees, throw tons and tons of money at them and tell them to make me another Vampire: The Masquerade RPG, in whatever manner they deem fit.

But it's the stupid people's money that is the easiest to take.

Sounds like a recipe for financial disaster considering the size of the game companies today. :P there's no going back now unfortunately. Basically only Indie games interest me now.

Sounds like a recipe for financial disaster

Also, I would love to see that happen.

Not my problem.

No you just want to play your little games and as far as anyone else is concerned, [censored] them right?

EDIT: Also, the developers aren't [censored]tards, they're very smart, just look at all the money they make. And yes, contrary to popular belief the #1 aim of any gaming company is to make money, not provide quality entertainment for you. If they can make money without providing you little entertainment they will do so. OH MAH GAWD RIGHT?!?!

Gaming is just a hobby of mine. They wanna stop upholding the quality standard that they used to have, then they can go under for all I care.

And yes, they are. The money they make is hardly deserved considering the interactive movies with tutorial tips I can't disable (press X to climb) they've been passing off to me as "next gen" games. "Next gen" my [censored].

It's one thing to not give a damn and another to hope for people to get screwed.

But they both hurt absolutely nobody, so what's the problem here?

Assuming I'd reap the profits, I'd have Bethesda hire more staff. I'd have the staff split into groups. I'd have the groups work on Fallout and TES, one each. I'd then have them push out a new game every other year. Fallout, then TES, then Fallout etc. etc. I'd dumb it down and make them more action oriented to appeal to a broader range of audiences. I'd add a multiplayer horde mode to Fallout.

Call me evil if you want. It's only business.

Or merge them with Obsidian and make a Return to Temple of Elemental Evil under Pathfinder ruleset.... wait that could be a bad idea.
