If you could turn into one animal

I'd have to go with a raven. Flying would be absolutely awesome.

Orca. No natural predators and all the free seafood I can catch? Works for me.
What about the Japanese?

Me, I'd be some kind of falcon. Eagles are fine, but a falcon is lighter, faster and more manuverable.

Waterbear and live forever.
Ummm...that would not be very fun...sure you can survive like -300 degree Farenheit(might be celsius i really do not remember) temps or greater but what kind of live is stasis? Besides they do not live forever. They live a very long time though...
----------
As for cheetahs, man are you in for a surprise. Every single damned other predator steals the kills of and bullies the cheetah...Go watch animal llanet or Nat Geo. You'll see...besides they are almost entirely descended from a very shallow gene pool. They are the red necks of Africa! Fast(nascar) and inbred! Woohoo for stereotypes!!

I did. However what motivation would you have when you are in stasis to change back as a waterbear? They would not have consciousness. I am just a biology [censored] poking fun at the thread. If you changed into an animal you would jot have the same brain capacity to change back. Brains are structured differently on a per animal basis. You become a water bear or cheetah you stay that way...hehe now if we can magically retain our sense of self in some manner then okay. Waterbear is still screwed. They enter cryptobiosis. They are not cognizant. It would be pointless to turn into one. It would not even survive that long unless it was in ideal conditions. They can die once they have been exposed for a long period of time. They could only live for about 60 years in that state on average. They can be regenerated though who the hell would remember to do that for you after 100 years idk....
