Do you ever wear non-combat clothes?

I do but only in town and I'm not talking about robes I mean normal clothes or maybe unchanted robes from HF.

My 2H warrior wears ordinary clothes all the time. The game is too easy on adept but I don't like the way they did master just messing with the damage ratio so going unarmored adds difficulty in a (to me) more natural way. Plus, I like the look, starting with regular clothes and then later switching to noble clothes or fine clothes.

I used to change into clothes in town or in safe areas. But, since I always forget to put the stuff back on when it is needed, I have stuck to wearing armor all the time.

Yes, my character has a certain "air" about him because of this. But, better to be alive and offend with body odor, then to be dead and offend with corpse odor.

Yes, my current character has an entire wardrobe filled with shoes, boots and clothes. She wears them when shopping, visiting the local inn for a meal and some drinks, or just visiting around town.

When Bani recently moved from Whiterun to Windhelm, Lydia was very upset that she had to carry all of those clothes but Erik got to carry the weapons. (I'm on PC, using UFO. Extra followers are very handy on moving day, especially since this character doesn't fast travel yet.)

When you said a wardrobe filled with shoes I thought of that "I used to be an adventurer until my GF took over my Skyrim save" picture of the boots.

My characters wear plain-clothes anytime they're not out in the wilderness. My thief in particular sticks to his finery - he doesn't want to be seen in his Thieves Guild armor, after all.

I haven't got time for that sort of thing at the moment. I eat, sleep and sh, er, well...do everything in my armor! Actually, I must be getting a bit of a stinky Dragonborn by now. Amazing my team can stand to be around me! Oh well, once I get my castle I'll start wearing civ clothes more. Posh ones though. Can't have Chadric going around looking like a peasant!

Depends. I give my guy a "day off" every once in a while and actually walk around and get to know the cities and NPCs. Running and dumping loot on the merchants and running back out gets repetitive.
