You guys are too friendly.

I learn much from the people here. I try to be friendly and helpful as I was kindly greeted and helped when I first got here. (Plus I am just a friendly helpful kinda guy if I may toot my own horn.)

This is easily my favourite community on the net!

You should see this place just before a game launches...
I thought it was more or less civil in Skyrim forums. Obviously a bit chaotic but nowhere near as bad as it is now. It's a warzone out there.

Oh newbie, get out.

Isn't CD the place where hopes and dreams come to die?

All that is needed is an effective black-van movement, secret underground troll-slaying training and a ban-hammer in the moderator's hands to keep this place clean.

We aren't friendly so much as we are so good at trolling and [censored] that we've learned to disguise our insults and trolling so the mods dont ban us.

I thought things had calmed down? I mean, I immigrated to CD about two months ago and haven't been anywhere else in the forums since... so I guess I wouldn't know.

I thought that was the Island of Misfit Toys, Oblivion, Wriggly Field?

OP: Hang around for a few years to see the cycles when games get released. It's not always nicey nice. Me? I'm just here 'cause the lawn needs to be mowed....

First of all, your English is excellent. It looks very natural.

Secondly this place is friendly mostly because there are lots of tight rules and trigger-happy mods to keep the peace... but part of it is that the people here tend to just be nice.

Well.... When I first started in the forum I used to be a troll. I was walking to starbucks one day and I felt a sharp pain go through the top of my head. Then all I remember is a blurry vision of a dark green room. I think I was strapped to a chair.... All of a sudden my posts started to become nicer and less trolly.

Lucky you. I went home all bruised and cut up. They also forced me to eat some kind of fungi. When I went home I no choice but to say that I got mauled by a cat and fell down a flight of stairs. No one suspected a thing :sadvaultboy:

People on this forum seems to be more mature then people on other forums,Bethesda Master race!

But we have some trolls,So does every forum. But the trolls here are mostly "really devoted fan" trolls.

You should see this place just before a game launches...
Skyrim General will never be the same. :cold:

I hung around Skyrim General for a long time before I joined the forums and saw all the activity.. I'm not sure I ever saw it as chaotic really, and I was even there for E3. I didn't register the forums until a few months ago though, after I'd been playing Skyrim like crazy.. I'd say the Empire vs. Stormcloak threads were a big source of arguing and I even started one myself because of all my conflicting thoughts between sides. I moved here after I got bored with being there though.. there really wasn't anything interesting going on anymore.

Community discussion is fine pretty much all year round, but the game sections can get really messed up. I've only been here for the NV, Brink, and Skyrim launch, but I'm sure the others just as hectic.

Most people here are mature, even if there weren't mods, but others, not really. Same people on a different forum, and you'll be horrified at how differently they behave.

I do slightly agree with the first part of this from what I saw in Skyrim General.

In terms of the second part: I suppose that would depend on the kind of forum it is though, and what they discuss there.. hence what's been forbidden here. :ninja:

Question is: why are you so friendly?
We're not real...just figments of your imagination. ;)
...but yeah...outside of some heated game aspect debates that seem to never end, and the average "release day/week" madness, these forums (especially the CD) are, imo, pretty cool.

My own question: what is "battlelog?" eg, is that battlenet, or some place else.

When I registered on this site I hoped there wouldn't be a lot of trolls, now I'm not even sure if people here even know what a troll is. This site is very friendly compared to Battlelog, every thread on Battlelog was prone to be attacked by a troll, while this site has friendly people and helpful ones instead of the useless trolls. Question is: why are you so friendly?

P.S. Sorry for my bad english.
Like many people already said, this forum has VERY strict moderators, you can receive warnings for simplest things. It keeps us in line, however in my opinion it wouldn't hurt if they kept us on a little looser leash.
