Do you have any Nicknames?

Post » Wed Sep 26, 2012 10:13 am

Idk if this has been asked before so why not? Do you have any nicknames that you are willing to share? I have a few..

My oldest being JB due to be many Justins in my school... Saying "Justin" causes confusion too much so each one of us got a nickname (JB was mine then there was JJ, JL, JM, etc)

My second oldest is Juicy because of my username... Personally, I have NO IDEA where people got Juicy but some-how they did..

My most recent nickname at school is "Brony" since I am the only student willingly wearing Brony shirts at school.. Got it from my Government teacher. (Better than Hitler, tbh... My Government teacher calls someone else Hitler a lot)...

Ye'?

I've never really had a nickname... although my friends sometimes called me Bear when I was doing BJJ because I'm not very tall but very strong

You must be so proud :)

My husband has a few fond ones he uses, but none of them are suitable to this forum. :whistling:

Friends make a lot of short jokes, but ... no, no true nicknames.

I had a very popular nickname, I don't want to share it though cause I think I would be annoyed if a few suddenly started to use it here. I was rather fond of it in RL though, and sometimes miss it :P

Anyway, when I was 8 years old (summer 1985) I recieved the nickname from some 3 year older neighbourhood kids. The usage of this nickname grew up to it's peak when I was 19, and I dare to say it was the most wellknown nickname in the whole city. Lots of people knew who [nickname] was, even if they didn't know me by name or even talked to me. I could meet strangers sometimes saying "Hi [nickname]!" to me (usually on weekend evenings when they were drunk too), very odd. And even parents (not mine) and teachers used it.

However, I then moved to another city to do uni studies and the nickname quickly died, and now I don't hear it particulary often anymore except from a few childhood friends.

No, not really. Some people calls me Tosh though, as Tosh is the name of a TV character sharing my name in the English version.
I'm not known at school by a nickname, more by who I am. I'm pretty sure most people at school (600+ stundents) at least have heard of me, since I'm that "sleepy guy". I fall asleep in class and in recesses all the time, so many know who I am. My younger sister is especially annoyed by this, as more people know who I am that her.

Oh, and my brother sometimes calls me a nickname that won't translate easily, hoppetorsk. Directly translated it means jumping cod, and I have no idea how he came up with that.

I have tons!

H, K, HK, (most friends call me one of these), Hazmat (one friend calls me this), Barbie (my 8 year old cousin calls me this for reasons that only make sense to her...)

The rest are either too personal or are in different languages, so either way I'm not sharing them. :P

I had a fake boxing name in high school; Brian "The Brawler" Lawler. Only a few people used it, and not too often.

I don't know if they really count as nicknames, but my dad has always called me names of random people or things. He's called me names like Rick, Clyde, or gems like Speedo. I gave up trying to figure out why, but I'm pretty sure he remembers my real name.

My name is Samuel, but I usually go by Sam. Girls like to call me Sammy or 'Bubble Butt' for some reason :/

Online it's usually Sneaky, Lucario, Peace, Sam, Naga, Nagato, Nagatocchi, Doctor, or Luca

Not yet, it seems like a whole syllable too many to say.

That's exactly why, all the girls are jealous of it aside from a few.

It's "Stud Muffin", isn't it?

If I get called anything, it's "Wolfe", and only if there's a large crowd of people where there may be more than one Josh.

Being named George, I've had my fair share of "Curious George," "George of the Jungle," and "Georgie Porgie" all throughout childhood. More recently, though, my friends just call me Jorge.

In my university's rugby club, my nickname is Gorgeous George (like from the film, Snatch), or popularly, "Georgeous." Though that's a LOT better than the alternative but arguably more clever "Bi-Curious George," which was a leading contender until I argued that I hadn't actually done anything to warrant that nickname. Most rugby clubs are malicious like that with their nicknames. Ugly Jeff, Fat Jeff, dikebag, Racist Kyle, and [censored]stain are a few noteworthy examples. I kinda lucked out.
