Don't be silly. We're allowed to talk about postmen. He was clearly talking about police reports.

I'm a bit of what one might call a grammar and/or spelling nazi, but I'm not too fanatic about it. I don't go out of my way to correct these things and do understand when people have linguistic impairments, are speaking a non-native language, are speaking in their native language just with an accent and specific lexicon and grammar principles that differ by region, make common mistakes (we all make these), etc. but otherwise, I am ticked off (exclusively) by an arguably growing lack of proper lingual skill development and "text-speak" , especially, though not necessarily by the person, just by the pitiful linguistic capabilities themselves. I edit my posts and such all the time even just for minor mistakes and that's as fanatic as it gets, so I'm not sure if I really qualify as a grammer nazi, really.
I was editing this text as I read it. I am now fighting the urge to bold mistakes I found... I'm a grammar/spelling Nazi. :(

It also annoys me when people say they're grammar/spelling Nazis, yet make painfully simple errors as they're doing so. This wasn't directed at you, Seti. :P

People eating loudly. If I can hear you chewing, I want to stab you in the temple with my fork. Same with people who "inhale" liquids. Like drinks or soup. YOU DON'T NEED TO BREATHE THE LIQUID IN. JUST POUR IT INTO YOUR MOUTH, OR USE THE SPOON TO PUT IT IN YOUR MOUTH. DON'T svck IT OFF THE EDGE OF THE SPOON.
My biggest pet peeve when I was a kid was people who breathed to loudly with their mouths, so it was like I could feel their breathing even if I wasn't near them. It was why my brother ended up having to be removed from my room...

Also in some countries it's considered rude not to make eating sounds while eating. It's like you don't enjoy the eating of your food.

TBH I do have a real annoyance in real life, someone I almost want dead, but I won't discuss it further here.

I appreciate the modesty OP.
Another one is Smoking. Nothing against the people who smoke, but the act. IMO, its the worst smell in the world and whenever I smell it my throat closes up and its hard to breathe. I don't have asthma or anything, but It just so bad. Even more when you ask people to put it out, and they just give you the finger.
It depends. If you have no authority, then don't ask me to put it out. You deserve the finger if you feel entitled to tell me to put out my smoke. Cops don't even make me put out my smokes since I'm over 17 years of age, what makes you think I'll listen to you?
Alright ranting over. You have anything that irks you?
What was said above. Also, people with computers like you mentioned. Novice programmers trying to talk down to me. Plus a lot of social things, of course.

People who never get a wash. Ever. I swear, there is a kid in my year who hasn't had a shower since year 7, and we are in year 10 now. His skin is literally green with grease and don't get me started on his hair. Makes me feel sick if he sits on the same table as me at dinner even if he is at the other end.

Also litter is pretty annoying.

Yes, that too, and broken glass if you ride a bike. They should be fined severely IMHO.

I'm a spelling, grammar and punctuation nazi. I don't bother correcting people online, usually. IRL...

Mess. Dirt. Crumbs in the butter/margarine tub. How do you get crumbs into the tub?

Ill-mannered individuals.

People who don't respect others' privacy. People who date people who don't respect others' privacy. I can't fathom why you'd want to be in a relationship with someone that spies on you.

Machismo BS. A little competition is a fun thing. When it devolves into you drag racing, and gloating that you beat someone at a round of pool/snooker, and measuring your (metaphorical) manliness by this or that yardstick... Then you're being an idiot.

Nearly everytime I pick up my snake it poos on either me or the couch. I've since learnt that 3 days after feeding is not enough time for it to poo. It smells so bad.

did anyone notice that complaints are like opposite-praise to oneself

it's disrespectful when people care about stupid things that doesn't matter, bad grammar or wording for example
if you understand what someone is trying to say, then why the [censored] are you making a problem out of it? care about what YOU do and stop nagging on others, they take care of themselves. there are bigger things that needs the attention you're wasting on trivial matters

Except, it's pretty inconsiderate of them to not learn how to communicate properly. They are wasting YOUR time and energy because they can't be bothered to spell or punctuate properly, or to put their words in the order in which they should be. That's like saying the guy that lets his dog take a dump on my lawn is not my problem.

People get the wrong idea about cracking down on grammar. It's not a word here and there which is a problem, it's the consistent [censored] of the language which is annoying. Sometimes it's not easy to read, and since text is the form of communication on an internet forum, then yes, I've got every right to be annoyed.

It's like someone who takes ages to speak in real life. It's annoying. "Heeeey maaan.........is everything...alright?". :swear:

More seriously, I don't have a problem with people who are sincerely attempting to communicate as concisely and clearly as they are able. If you just haven't bothered to learn, though? No, that's not okay.

Littering. If you look on the side of a road and see tons of junk people through there. Paper cups, bags of all types, beer bottles, boxes, wood, magazines and even some really weird stuff. I wonder about the mind set of someone who does that.

Also inconsiderate smokers. Typically meaning smokers that don't smoke in a desginated area or some in some area that you can't avoid (like in front of the door to a building you have to enter).

And you can of course combine the two. Smoker who drop cigarette butts on the ground. Cigarette butts might be bio degradable but still there some places, like the curbs near a traffic light, have huge numbers of them. But even worse dropping a cigarette butt without putting it out first, so it continues to expel unhealty fumes.

Both of these I guess relate to inconsiderate people.

(note that smokers who are considerate are not a pet peave, and this post is not intended to be an insult to all smokers, it just applies to inconsiderate ones)

Poor spelling

All the kids in England that dress the same. Ie: Vans, topman/river island chinos, low cut t shirt, head shaved on the side, long on top, earrings!

People that go to University and suddenly think they're a genius.

People that still think global warming exists

Piers Morgan

Jack Wills

Telemarketers or call centre workers that can't speak English.

People with a chip on their shoulder. Just enjoy life and stop being a dike.

People who spend the whole time in the gym, hogging the bench press because they think they're cool.

Irate middle aged women.

Irate teenage girls.

The colour red.

My little pony

Bono

Bob Geldof

Peaches Geldof

The ugly ginger cousins in the royal family.

People that think taking MDMA makes you a boss.

People that shout on the sidelines of sport events, like. "PASS THE BALL! RUN!!" No [censored] sherlock.

Baked beans

Tomatoes

People that think drinking alcohol is evil.

Skinny jeans.

Really fat people.

Fat people.
