You like Coffee?

Post » Sat Nov 16, 2013 3:05 pm

So Ive never been big into coffee, Ive tried some at a hospital awhile back as a kid while my grandpa was there. I remember it tasting like scalding water with an aftertaste.

So years later today I decided to try another go and see if my tastebuds had changed, well turns out it taste the same.

This was just some regular coffee I got at some wafflehouse, I figured a breakfast place might be decent enough but I just don't care for it.

I know theres a few people who enjoy the stuff and wondered, should I try some kind of brand or blend? Something that doesn't tastes like boiling dirty water?

If you want decent coffee, avoid cafeteria dispensers and fast food places. You'd be better off brewing your own at home. If you are looking for a flavor that's enjoyable but not overpowering, try a toffee or hazelnut blend.

Only right after waking up. Even if i make it exactly the same later, it just doesn't taste the same

I've been drinking a "dark roast" coffee lately, it has stronger taste, yet not too bitter.

I like coffee, not a connoisseur, yet I can tell the difference between a good cup and the crap you mention but I can't drink it straight up as I need it sweet with sugar and a splash of half&half or some other milky substance. Why would you try your first cup at a hospital then the next at a wafflehouse? You need a good home brew or place that makes good coffee fresh (fresh brewed is best). I'm easy to please though and make Maxwell House at home but I make it strong so you actually taste the flavor, not the weak watered down version many diners pour.

Give it another try at some place/home where they know what they're doing and enjoy the nectar of the gods ;)

Depends on the coffee quality and how much used. You probably had some cheap coffee with barely any put in the filter and no milk or sugar. I'm only 17 and I drink coffee every morning in lieu of an actual breakfast before school. I know it's bad not to eat breakfast but between being extremely hard to get out of bed and having to be at school by 7, I don't really have time for food.

I think I'm the only person in my family who think coffee tastes like dog [censored] TBH. Never could get a taste for it...which reminds me, everybody I've ever talked to about it tells me it is an acquired taste. Well if is, it's obviously beyond me, because I've tried, and it just tastes disgusting every time.

I have a coffee dependency. Most people drink coffee to get a caffeine kick, but I've reached the stage where I drink coffee so I can feel "normal". I have at least 8 shots of espressos a day along with a few regular cups of coffee now. It was worse earlier. It shouldn't be too difficult to quit, but I like my coffee and I don't see it happening ever.

Coffee is great.

Maybe coffee ice cream. Once in a blue moon. Actual coffee to drink? Heck no. My caffeine comes from soda (which I can't drink in the AM, gives me stomach ache).
