I'm playing a mage atm for the first time in Skyrim and I find the sounds of spells pretty annoying. I like the idle chime sound of healing, but I hate the sound of using it. The capture of souls is also too loud, I would have imagined it more haunting, and subtle, but it's like a thunder. The most annoying though is the 'not enough magicka' sound. I find most of the spells sounds too harsh, too violent even for the brutal feel of Skyrim. The ice projectiles scratch my brains like chalk on blackboard. I would have liked my spells more round, melodic, whispered, mystical, heavenly, subtle, psychedelic for example the chime sound when you activate healing, not when you equip it.

What are your opinions about the magic sounds, what are your favorites?

They don't bother me. I have no favorite, i just use a heal spell the most.

I've never really paid attention to the sounds the spells make. Usually pretty distracted.

Mostly good, although the "fast healing" seems to have a deflating end sound effect.

Lightning is pretty loud for me, especially Sparks.

Yeah I don't like the sounds either especially when you equip/switch, too mechanical/metallic and loud.

No, I kinda like them. There is a good variety and they sound nicely magical to me.
Are you sure its not just that you havent set your audio preferences properly?
Im not sure what section magical effects falls under but you can probably make the sounds less loud compared to the other sounds of the game.

Fits for me with the rest of the game, and the rough and brutal vibe they seem to have gone for. It's a cold, harsh world. I would expect to hear the music of the spheres from a game set in Summerset or an expansion with the Psijiics, as then it would make more sense.
