Do you need Fallout New Vegas on the computer to use the GEC

Do i absolutly have to have Fallout: New Vegas installed on my computer to run the GECK?

Yup you do. It loads the game and requires some primary .dll files to open. Without that, it has nothing to load and no purpose.

Thanks. I wish they made a copy of the Geck in which you can make stuff with out haveing the game for PC. :(

But why, that defeats the point. I'm sure using the geck and game engine for other than creating content for their games would break the terms and conditions of use somewhere in there... :shrug:

Thats the thing i dont own the PC Version, but i would like to make stuff for Fallout New Vegas for other people. :(

Oh, so you want to mod you just don't own the version. I see.

Honestly in that case, I think it's worth it to just buy it for PC. You can get it for only 30$ on Amazon.

Is it really only 20 at gamestop? Cause Amazon is usually the cheapest and on Steam it's still 50. :shrug:
