This was a bit odd for me as well.

Sometimes she would greet me with sweetness and desire, and at other times as if we were just meeting for the first time.

If this is happening during some of the dawnguard quest line than you can tell her to wait and she will just follow from farther away and this will happen less

It stopped once I did the quest to go to the soul carin but if you travel with her in before doing it, she doesn't shut up, at all!!!

This doesn't bother me. What bother me is whenever she starts fighting she says "Where you come from?".. Like every single time...

No matter how many times I dismiss her..she keeps teleporting back to me some how. She's so annoying with the "I've been in caves enough but if you say so" line and 'The sun is so bright I don't know how you can stand it" one as well. One to top them all is after exiting the place you find her she said "Ah good to breathe fres...oh it must be that great Skyrim weather everyone was talking about." :wallbash:

As a previous poster pointed out, once you get to the soul cairn she will stop with the "did you need something."

Serana's lines seem no more repetitive than some of the other followers. After the MQ, however, Serana turns into a boring follower. Janessa has more commentary on the places you visit than Serana. And Jordis's "Enjoy your last breath" battle cry always cracks me up; such a sadistic comment coming from such a sweet sounding voice.

I didn't much care for her until a certain new enemy hit her in the face and launched her into orbit. I was hey that's my vampire to kill ! Ten minutes later she right behind me freaking me out with those orange eyes of hers. After that I was alright you can stay.

I work off the assumption that mentally... her stability may be questionable.
There's a case to be made for her being a little nuts, immortality, massive daddy issues, victim to Bal's predations... and now some slack jawed adventurer drooling over her and pestering her to get married 10 minutes after meeting her.

Janessa is a dark elf mercenary who apparently does nothing but drink all day and night at the Drunken Huntsman until you hire her. Although, I did see her once wandering around the Gildergleam. I was surprised, since I thought all she ever did was drink herself silly all day.
