I'm just wondering because i am downloading it right now and my character is not a vampire so do i have to go out and get infected?

The first mission Isran gives you, thats when you get to choose you side and become a vampire.

I was also wondering something similar.
Does it matter if your a werewolf or do i have to cure myself of lycanthropy to join them and bcome a vampire lord?

nope you can still become a vampire lord even if you are a werewolf. No you won't be a mix you will only become the VL once harkon turns you.
