I just started a Khajiit roleplay character, thinking of readings books.. Are they interesting?

Only a select few are worth the time IMO. ALWAYS read journals, they are easily the most fun to read because they tie into the area you are in.

Yes i read alot of the books. They always seem to have some hidden life experiance in them either upfront or in a symbolic manner. Been reading the books since Tes 2 Daggerfall. Really fleshes out the world and adds further atmosphere to the fantastic chapters of The Elder Scrolls.

I've always like 'The Real Barenziah', because it's an interesting book that was in Oblivion and I was very happy to find the series in Skyrim, too. I genuinely enjoy reading these, and it's interesting to me because I love to know more about the lore in the Elder Scrolls.

Depends on the character. Most of my characters don't like to read, they're dumb, or just have no desire for books. But my new Crusader is educated, and reads voraciously on any subject. He will stop what he's doing in the middle of an adventure (assuming no enemies) just to read a book. Thankfully most books aren't that large in TES..

I agree with zgillet: journals are always a great read! I love the one somewhere up near Dawnstar in the lighthouse, where the dad

forces his family to move to this remote location because it's so cheap () then starts hearing 'noises' in the cellar. Turns out there's a charus down there, and his entire family got killed oney by one.....

Yes, I do. Most of them are very interesting and they're necessary to understand the history of Tamriel - and the quests you're doing, because how can you form an opinion about the Thalmor if you haven't read "The Great War" and "Rising Threat"? What fun will The Man Who Cried Wolf be if you have no idea who Potema was and how she died?

The books are awesome. Read at least the series: "The Real Barenziah", "2920", "Argonian Account" if you're interested in Black Marsh, "Dance in Fire" if you like Valenwood.

Also The Wolf Queen. Palla. The Song of Pelinal. The Alduin/Akatosh Dichotomy.

As a Khajiit you must read Ahzirr Traajijazeri :)

Oh, scratch that, read all the books! :P

I can't stand still long enough which is funny because in RL I read constantly. In Skyrim there is too much to do and see to stand there reading a book.

Well, in real life, I don't read books.

In Skyrim, my Nord warrior sees no reason to read them, while my mage character can't stop reading. My Khajiit will read skill books, as well as relevant history books. (3E through 4E)

Honestly I don't really read most of the books unless it's required to (I know you don't have to actually turn through all the pages for it to count, but I read them all anyway so it feels like I actually did something lol). I do collect books though if I feel they are relevant to my character. For my Dunmer character for example, I'll collect any books relating to Dunmer. Simple things like that.
