Do you still get XP Points when you setup private matches for friends or clan members?

That's actually a very good question.

You do get XP in single-player mode, so I don't see why private matches wouldn't yield XP as well.

I think so, seems you get XP for everything(You vs bots, you and your friends vs bots and you and random people vs other random people.)

Yes you will.

And no, it's not bad if people want to boost that way.

It really does not matter if they want to boost because of the rank system that prevents high lvs from vs low lvs (at least with the higher lv abilities), aka boosters vs boosters in the high lv in the beginning, so what.

Well a private match would just be playing with bots.....so isn't that much like singleplayer or coop?

I think of boosting is when friends get together and tried to get xp points and such using glitching and other techniques that are so called "Black Hat". It is perfectly find to boost with your friends if you play with the games rules and design...there is nothing wrong with that. It is like asking your friends to help you get PSN Trophies or Xbox Live Acheivement Points.

I am pretty sure you can set the join options to make it that 'randoms' can't join and make it so you play against friends. But lets get back to waiting for Brink to come out.

Yes I believe you get xp points for all game types. They initially planned to give more exp for multiplayer games to encourage people to play online but they scrapped that bc they thought it wad unfAir to the singleplayer crowd.

I don't see how that really counts as boosting...
The bots should make it roughly equivalent to playing online. So it should take just about as long to reach lvl 20.
If they do go online after reaching lvl 20 they would be at a disadvantage because real people are bound to do things differently than the bots.

if someone chooses to only play bots they are not boosting they are grinding.
will it be easier to get wins kills and xp by playing only bots? more than likley yes.
will this make them better than players that play other players probably not.

boosting would be setting up a private macth you have 1 team using the gamertags they want to boost.
and one team of secondary gamertags that people dont care about.
team one keeps killing team 2 wich doesnt fight back.
that along with cap objectives then getting the win.
this will most likley be how people boost.

This will be what boosters do.

Then they'll be the only people who are at Rank 5 when they reach it, so they'll only be playing against other players who did the same thing.

Then the legitimate players will start showing up, and they'll be slaughtered by people who had to work for their levels, but who, as a result, KNOW HOW TO PLAY.

Eventually, less-skilled non-boosters will start adding to the numbers of Rank 5 players as well - the extra experience will still allow them to beat the boosters, though. Then the boosters will be well and truly outnumbered by superior players, and will ragequit. Problem solved.
