Do you think that when Dawnguard releases for ps3, I should

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 12:46 pm

I haven't been on this forum for a long time, but I decided I wanted to play again after I came up with a nice idea for a character.

Anyway, I had experiences where many people complained about the amount of bugs Skyrim had on the ps3.
I did not have that much trouble with it, if I may be honest.

Anyway, the big question here is:
Do you think Dawnguard will be worth it? Even for ps3?

I think every cent put into the amount of money its costs to buy dawnguard is worth it, it adds a lot to the game.

Okay, great.
But, I fear a little bit that Dawnguard is not worth it for ps3.
Many said they have problems with Skyrim and the ps3, and I don't like taking risks.

Well I am a total of fan of it but to be fair:

If you are expecting a huge expansion like Shivering isles then you might be disappointed.

However for a add-on that is most comparable to knights of the nine then it is AMAZING.

I don't expect a huge expansion.
More like an extra questline and more features, which is fine enough for me.

Then assuming the ps3 doesnt screw you over, you should THOROUGHLY enjoy this.

Oh okay, the ps3 has some bugs. But cases where I have to start over are very rare.
So I usually enjoy it just as much as an average xbox or pc player.

I think I am convinced to buy this, thanks for the help people.

You have 2 choices.

If you want to play it right now buy an XBox 360 and get the game for the XBox 360.

This will give you instant access to the DLC (you will have to pay for it).

Or wait until it is released for the PS 3 and see what the feedback is from people using your specific platform.

I think it's a shame when any developer goes down the "exclusive" route.

It's a shame when other platfroms have to miss out or suffer delays.

I am not planning to buy a new game system just for one game.
I don't mind being patient, I guess there will come feedback about it quite fast when it gets released for ps3.
But I do fine with the regular version, so I don't think the add-on will change anything about it.
And on this moment, I can already make a start with my new character I just made. It is a promising build which should keep my bussy.

Nope. Bethesda needs to learn a lesson for [censored] themselves to Microsoft. I'm not going to buy any of Skyrim's DLCs and neither should anybody else.

When the GOTY edition including the DLCs is $30 or less on sale in a few years is when I'll be paying for Dawnguard.

That's good.

I didn't say "buy an XBox" to be a smart alec. That's the only system where you can play it at the moment.

You said yourself that you're a little nervous about committing to the expansion because of 'horror stories' you've heard about the PS 3.

So I'd say you're doing the right thing giving people a chance to experience the DLC on your preferred platform and take in the feedback from them.

I think it svcks that other people have to wait but hopefully it will be worth it.

You've plenty time to enjoy your new character and build.

I got the DLC when it came out but it's only just starting to impact on my game.

I think you'll enjoy it when you finally get to it.

That would be such a foolish thing. To buy an Xbox for Skyrim ...

I could swear there's this other system ... where it's different enough to actually be a compelling reason to change systems, but I can't seem to name it.

Yeah it's well worth the money for what it adds to the game :).
