I'm playing Thief at the moment, I'm constantly saying things like 'you saw nothing!' to the suspicious guards.

lmfao. that's the stuff that games are made of.

*on blackjacking suspicious guards from le rear* "Sleep tight/Lights-Out...taffer..."

Spoken in Garrett's sly tongue, naturally.

No. Although when playing CoD (the good ones, the series got bad starting at Black Ops), I involuntarily jerk forward when knifing.

Quality , aww am howling.

I bet you're also one of those gamers who leaned left and right with their control pad when making harsh turns in racing games lol.

It welly helps! Least it felt like it did in CTR.

Ha, the series is horrible now, but Modern Warfare 1 and 2 were both really good. I don't play racing games, so I wouldn't know. It's never anything else, only knifing.

Not really talking, but I have been known to mumble when playing anything made by Frictional games: usually along the lines of "everything's going to be OK, just one more lever".

I've ducked in reality to dodge a rocket in a game. My friends in the room didn't know what to think.

I remember some friends said they saw me talking to myself once but I think they are crazy. I don't talk to myself.

I have never done these things solo, well I have but in front of a camera. Used to do educational commentaries on Thief 2 and Deus Ex back in the day. So I talked alone for hours commenting on everything I did and when there was "dead space" I filled it with tips and hints that some people don't get from the start.

Immersion has never been important to me. I simply don't need it. I never had the joys of talking to my characters, or dodging stuff in Doom, or even looking behind the monitor like I am looking behind a door. It's not that I can't immerse myself, I do, a lot. If I am watching something like I get into it but I never show it. I am more "keep it to myself" kinda guy.

It's good that things like this happen though and I couldn't be more happy. It means that gaming has an impact on a lot of people's lives. Sure we have our weird tendencies, but it's not just like that. It's self-expression. That's what art is supposed to invoke in us.

I only talk when saying a little comment like, "That was a cool plot twist" or "That person sounded like they were reading off a script" or when I'm cursing out the game or my PS3/PC for crashing, freezing, or glitching.
