Just saw it like 10 seconds before. I wonder what that means...

How could that work?

What happens when there is no chair?

Does it use a chair around anyway?

Typing is too hard I just want to click on the chair.

While it may seem a bit lazy, this. It's how it was in SWG.

PS the Argonian on that page looks freakin' AMAZING.

Also hoping a LOT of those emotes are constants or moods not just one off animations. Like /cower you should keep cowering until you try to move or something and /torch should stay until you draw a weapon.

I was joking. If typing is too hard then I don't know what to say to you.

Whoa, awesome news, so many emotes it's crazy! Pointing in directions, thumbs up and down, surrender, threaten, playing dead, torch?
I was literally asking about torches a day or two ago, so I'm guessing torches are in.
Also, playing dead in PvP? Yes please.

Is there any other MMORPG so far with this many emotes?

Probybly sumons a chair, in another mmo I played, when you used them comands your char just spawned achair and sat on it, same with flying carpet or sleeping on a cloud emotes.

Not too hard, just how it's always been done, in MMOs and TES (well, in Oblivion and Skyrim) so why not here? If chairs are nodes that recognize an emote command then they'd easily recognize a cursor click.

Oh good lord I hope not.

Yes, SWG had a LOT more than this. It also had moods which were interesting too. Hope ESO has a mood system.

Honestly I never thought about that, but this could work... not as good as actually using a chair, but much better then nothing. Especially when there are more people then chairs...

(Yes, I want damn chair sitting.)

Can't wait to see all the videos, hahaha! My addition would be /worship, like a deep worshipping bow from the knees. "We're not worthy" kinda thing.

Pretty sure /kneelpray nor /kowtow are this.

They also need a /meditate.

Oh and /broom or /sweep.

Lastly a /throatcut or /youaredead.

Also I really hope that these emotes trigger from local chat like in SWG, like you you say certain words then you automatically do the emote. Like typing "haha" did the /laugh or /lol emote.

For comparison, these are SWG's emotes:

http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=148855&TabID=1263612&ForumID=700116&TopicID=6945250

Wow now that I'm comparing the two ESO is missing a TON of stuff.

I just hope none of these emotes are text-outs without any animation to them. A lot of MMO's do that, you type the emote command - for example, /laugh - and all that happens is "You laugh." with no actual laughing animation. Laziest system ever.

Last mmo I played on the PS3, had the menu option with the list & categories.

Could be right but more than likely they'll adopt it.

I think all of these are animations, hence why there are so few. I do hope however that typing key words without doing the specific slash command will trigger the emote, like if you say "haha" in local it triggers the laugh animation.

My request is to those of us in the community who are actually coordinated. I would love it if you lot could put together a few suggestions that would expand on the /dance emotes; we need more than just the two.

I would do this myself, but I want the devs to actually put in new /dance emotes, not /struckbylightning or /epilepticfit or /wehavenoideawhatthatisbuthewonthecontestso...

As long as the dances are tasteful, lore-friendly and having nothing in common with any modern "dances" then I'm all for this.
