your best moment & favourite thing in skyrim

do you ever feal like nothing positive is said about skyrim ? i know i do and i do think that this game is not given enough credit , but the real question is what do you really love about skyrim , what has been your most epic/fun/emotional moment you have had so far with it , and what is your favourite thing in the whole game?

ill start:

my long standing love affair with letters , notes and journals continues on with skyrim , i love how they paint in rich detail the everyday life of a skyrim citizen , the rich knowledge and small secrets that they contain , which are , let us be honest , often left unanswered - i simply cannot resist picking up every note , letter and journal i find and reading and re-reading it :D

my favourite moment in the whole of skyrim so far happened just 2 days ago , as my new arognian female was taking a stroll past valentheme (something like that) towers, naturally i didn't have enough gold to even begin thinking about paying the road tax , and so naturally i quikley found myself getting chased around by too violent bandits and getting shot at by another 9 on the big bridge over that shallow river) in the end i led into the river , after doing an epic kill-shot sending the archer flying off the bridge , i was pursued to the point of having to retreat into the towers themselves, running along the bridge - behind me those too bandit - in front of me a great big muscular nord with an even bigger axe.

i took the only way out of that mess , and i plunged all the way from the bridge , throwing my fate to the heavens , and by pure luck landed in a deep patch of water!

anyway that moment felt so great , i got a real thrill form leaping from the bridge , plunging towards the water , and it is the first time in skyrim where i have felt like i did something epic without the game telling me too :)

so - how about you?

My best times have always been on one character with my trusty hunting bow what i've had since the start of the game (i'm level 55 now) at Valtheim Towers, the killcams i get there are just epic!

The first time I 'met' an Elder dragon. I had got rather blasé about dragons by that time, so when I came out of the inn in Dawnstar and saw a dragon attacking, I let off a spell at it and sprinted into the open fields, trying to draw its attention away from the townsfolk. Thump, bite, and my little body soared away across the fields.

The next time I was a bit more cautious. Thump, bite, and my little body soared away across the fields.

It took me about thirty tries before I could escape from that dragon, and most of that was spent hiding cravenly in the gap between two houses, desperately casting healing hands at any braver person passing by...

EXACTLY. Allot of work was put into Skyrim, and people just don't appreciate.

I looove random encounters. Its like a mystery box when you know where they all are. like the one on the corner on the riverwood-whiterun road. Ive been getting new ones even after 600 or so hours of playing. :bloodshotsmiley:

Orc: "I am waiting for a good and honorable death."
Dragonborn: "I can give you the death you seek."
Orc: "Are you sure about this."
Dragonborn: "Yes"
Orc: [tone changes] "You should never have come here!"

I like the mercenary random encounter. It makes me feel like im not the only one.

I ran into that same problem a few times and had to fight my way past them but in my last play through something different happened.
My experience level with both my Ebony Bow of Inferno and sword were extremely high so I made her a counter offer that I don't think was an option before (but maybe it was).. "My offer is, you let me pass and I don't kill you". She said that offer sounded acceptable and she let me pass.

At another point, I had just entered a small cave when 2 trolls came rushing at me. I immediately transformed into a werewolf and both trolls instantly started knocking each other down and tripping over themselves to do a 180 to run away from me. (I guess trolls aren't that stupid after all).

It's also been said that the sun never sets on the British Empire because God doesn't trust the British in the dark.

Favorite moment. I forget which fort it was but I stormed in there ahead of my stormcloak allies, whipped out my bow and probably took out 30%
of the imperials before the stormcloak host arrived. Then I probably killed 75% alltogether. Alone. That was epic. Sniping moving target after moving
target, each a clean hit and usually a real life kill shot, no arrows to the knee kills. That was awesome.

I've had several "epic" moments in this game. But recently; on the thieves quest line. I was exiting Goldenglow (The bee farm). I was trying to find a way over to burn 3 hives. I was in perfect hiding.. and BAMM.. a dragon attacks.

I tried hiding from the dragon. Which worked until i moved to get a better look at the dragon killing the guards at Goldenglow. He spotted me. And it was time to run. From the dragon and the guards. Both chased me across the river and down the road.

I love this game.

I had just come out of Windhelm, a place I rarely visit. I get asked if I want to buy the 'good stuff' I say hand it over he says no, I get him on his knee. No pun seriously when they fall down to recharge health. Then my guy said "May Stendarr have mercy upon you. For the vigil, has none" Then an arrow in the head. Say the last two words slowly.
And those towers, I did the same thing as you but I FUS RO DAH'ed three off into the water when I landed.

Mine was simple.

During the thieves guild quest (I think it's in the meadery) there's a locked door in the basemant. After unlocking it inside is a skeleton, a dagger, a poison vial, a human heart all inside what looks like a conjuration circle with candles around it. Also there is a note from Mavin addressed to the Dark Brotherhood where she's pissed off because it's been "a while" since she gave her sacrifice and hasn't received contact from them.

An homage to "Sweet Mother"

Twas epic in a simple sense. A small Easter egg behind the scenes. I honestly don't know why I liked it so much, but it hit me.

I've got 466 hours into the game, what I like is the depth. Big enough game where it can almost become a hobby. The ultimate would be this kind of multiplayer experience to start with.

My best moment would be when I first met Parthunexx

Plenty of people love Skyrim. It's just that all the people who don't are congregated on this board, just like all the "Bioware [censored] my father" crowd hangs on the Bioware forums. Comes with the territory.

The most epic moments in this game are always the random encounters. Mine was my Orc warrior (master difficulty) taking on a dragon and then finding myself also fighting imperial soldiers, bandits and sabre cats all at the same time. And I beat them all.
