Patrek was born 7 months after his father Petur joined the war. His father was captured during the Battle of the Red Ring, and died escaping, so his brother who was 16 years older than him took his father's place. His brother, Ulfur, survived the war and came back to Bruma to take care of Patrek and his mother, Lilja. Lilja died 12 years later from bone break fever leaving Ulfur to take care of him. 19 years after that, Patrek, now 31, and Ulfur, now 47, decided there was nothing left for them in Bruma. They had lost most of their money over the years and began to head to the home of their ancestors, Skyrim. However, on the way up they got separated and Patrek ended up falling into an Imperial ambush. They bounded him up and brought him to Helgen to face execution...

Viveka Ansgar grew up on a small farm in the wilderness next to the southern border of Skyrim, where she lived alone. Her parents died in war at an early age and left her the farm. She was always happy to meet with outsiders and chat...especially women. She would always go to town with money in hand and nothing to buy but ale, but nothing to lose either as she held chats and flirted with townswomen in the local bars. A renewed hope filled her smile each day, hope that the woman of her dreams would fill he gap in her arms and heart, searching for someone to fill her rather bleak existence that has so far amounted to getting drunk, passing out and finding herself in a bed up in the inn because the ones who worked there felt sorry for her. Some innkeepers eventually started treating her like family, or rather like a poor, stray dog because they could always see the deep sadness behind her warm and friendly smile. A facade that grew weaker as the night came and reminded of her dull and hopeless existence. She was a person that would do anything for anyone but her distant home and troubled heart led her away from the company she desired most. This was most of her life until she met Naeliyn, which happened to be the wife of a very powerful Thalmore figure in Skyrim.

During a routine visit to the local pubs, helping a few merchants pack up at dusk after a long day of chatting and flirting with women in the bar, she was bumped into by a beautifully dressed Altmer woman. Judging by her soft yet lithe physique, Viveka could tell that she was a upper class woman who didn't go outside much. The woman's eyes were full of distress however, as she looked into Viveka's own eyes and begged her to to hide her for the night. The woman had seen her before from visits to Windhelm and knew she had her own farm from hearing the drunken ramblings she was known for during a visit to the inns. This is where she hoped she'd be hidden. Viveka was speechless but quickly obliged, despite just meeting her. The desperation and fear in those eyes grabbed at Viveka's heart and squeezed relentlessly until she she said yes. To the delight of the Altmer woman, she grabbed a horse from the stable and they both hopped on. She was never one to steal but desparate times call for desparate measures.

When Viveka got back from Falkreath and into her house with Naeliyn, the shaky Altmer woman admitted to running from her husband. She said the man was about to have her killed after she threatened to leave him if he didn't try to denounce and go against the dominion. Saying that when she had gotten close to the local Nords, she had a sudden realization about the world around her and what her people were doing to these cultures and people. Nolonger wanting to be a part of the dominion or her sheltered life, and bitter toward the egotistically driven empire that her husband vehemently supports, she fled abruptly and soon found herself being chased down. The first arrow that flew toward her head was a sign that her coming back alive wasn't top priority. She was considered a traitor that had to be eliminated.

Despite knowing the tactics of the Aldmeri dominion which she despises, and the fact that she may well have been tricked, Viveka accepted this story. Whether because of the honesty she felt in the woman's voice, or her own irrational feelings cluttering and taking over her mind, she would guard this woman with her life.

Unfortunately for Viveka, the moment didn't last. The beautiful person she had cared for and sworn her life to had fled, leaving only a note on her desk that said "You didn't scare me away, and if times were different I might have fallen for you. You never had to say a word about your desires; you Nords can be pretty transparent after all. The more I stay here, the more your life is in danger. I cannot threaten your life and take advantage of your kindness any longer." Her face was drenched in tears as she finished reading the small note. She showed a sadness so deep that it seemed that there was nothing else, not even a consciousness in those teary eyes. It was the same expression she carried when her door was busted down, and throughout the torute they put her through. Despite their horrendous efforts, she wouldn't budge or speak a word. Unable to get information out of her, she was framed and "Caught" near Helgen to be executed...

Just did this in another thread but felt this was more appropriate here :o
TL;DR: She's got someone to save and an empire to crush.
Edit: Spoilers are for silly heads. Enjoy my crap taking up space in your thread >;3
