Do your characters tend to reflect your personality?

I'm quite shy but affable, and I tend to play righteous loner types, such as rangers, almost always archers.

Does your own personality tend to influence your characters? Any alphas playing orcs in loincloth dual-wielding axes? :P

Er...no, I'd have to say no. I role-play so I tend to purposefully make some so they don't reflect me. Whether I succeed at that or not, I can't say. I think I do so, though. At least consciously.

Yeah, same here. Well, at least the first time I play a game.

Somewhat
I try and play characters who are quite different to myself with their own personalities and beliefs but I'm sure that, even if only subconsciously, my personality influences them

Interesting question. My personality definitely influences my characters. For the longest time I found it difficult to be a thief in Elder Scrolls games, or do something evil, simply because that isn't something I'd do in real life. But over time I've been able to separate myself more from the game character and roleplay a thief, or someone who only cares about wealth and doing whatever they can to get as much as they can, etc. Both ways are fun really.

Yeah... most of my characters spend a lot of time in Inns drinking, are quick to indignation (bandits took your thingy!?... that your mum gave you... well this won't stand if I have anything to do with it!), but then get easily distracted by minutiae (I should find some Nordic Barnacles and/or improve this helmet).

Maybe a little.. I'm not a very social person and in games I dislike (for the most part, anyway) having companions so I tend to solo all the time. I also make my characters into warrior/thief combos because that's the style I like to play in TES.. and a companion would only get in my way (although I did enjoy having one in Dawnguard) but for the most part, I just like to spend my time alone.

No. At least, I hope not. I don't think I'm an angry, guilt-driven, cold-blooded killer ...
Although I definitely have an influence on my character, albeit in a small way.

I'll have to say no. I play such diverse types of characters that I don't think they really have anything in common with me.

Considering how I RP murderous childish Warlocks, overbearing Missionaries, anti-social Monks, pedophillic Woodsmen, absent minded Healers, caring fathers who just so happen to be Necromancers, walrus fearing Miners, and warriors nuttier than a fruit cake, I'd have to say Yes No.

Mass-murdering kleptomaniacs just itching to solve other people's problems while cursed with an obsession for killing every form of wildlife they encounter... Nope not me.

Your characters will reflect parts of you whether you realize it or not.
