your funniest and most epic kills!

i just wanna hear everyone's stories on some of their funny or epic killing blows, whether they were assassinations or full-on face-to-face combat situations

while at this ruined tower that had some orcs patrolling outside of it... i decided to take em out with my bow... one was quite a distance away, sitting on a bench... i shot him right in the nose, slamming him against the stone wall behind him, and he died, looked funny with an arrow in that nose of his.

another orc not far away was up in a wooden tower, also far away... i somehow managed to shoot an arrow right into his mouth!

he proceeded to fall backwards off his tower, no one noticed a thing.

also, this is probably my funniest kill cause of the timing... i had seen so many arrow in the knee jokes, and while playing, i came across a forsworn-infested dungeon, i was outside on a mountain across from the structure.

one forsworn was on the top level, watching out for people, i guess... after several missed shots, i finally hit and killed him... after going through the dungeon and reaching the top level outside, i ran over to see where he ended up.

it was just funny as hell to me... i managed to shoot him square in his right knee, and he even ended up laying on his back under a table that was behind him!

i couldnt stop laughing for awhile after that.

...i was actually preparing this for the general discussion forum, but i figured some people may have spoiler posts, so i decided to post it here, instead... if a moderator feels it'd fit better there, then feel free to move it, i just wanted to play it safe, is all.

The most memorable for me was probably shooting someone with an arrow while they were talking with someone then have the other person go immediately "Hmm must be the wind" or whatever rubbish the NPC's say. I laughed so hard then shot the other NPC in the head.

i still get a thrill whenever my girl does the sword to the heart, spin, and then the throat slash.

By far my most epic kill so far was just because the gap between our power was far. I was level 4 and killed a master vampire during a companion radiant quest I believe. The guide book says the lowest master is at level 14 so I was pretty happy about this. Albeit I used a master restoration scroll I had found that made a ring that repels undead up to level 35 and heals me 20 health a second inside it. I begun the battle by casting that scroll inside of a tunnel I used as a chokepoint. I followed by hitting him with flames until he came to me and I blocked the path with my body and kept up the flames along with strikes from my weapon. Him being undead he retreated back into his room which gave me time to deal with his weak reanimated body (a dead bandit). Afterwards I just kept up the flames on him and blocked the path until the scroll ran out, then started backing away down the tunnel hitting him with flames and my weapon when he got too close. It was still a close battle but I got him. :)

Funniest kill: using the relenting force shout to blast an enemy off ledge high enough to where the fall kills them. It was funny and anti-climactic when I used it to fell my first difficult foe (ice giant) early game.

Least funny death: every time I walk down a steep ledge and get stuck in between some tall rocks and have to reload the game. The fact that its so easy to do anywhere means the designers thought it would be good to make game more annoying in effort to be "realistic" for gameplay reasons? Yes, reduce smooth gameplay for realism cause realism is more fun than fun.

a little off topic.

when i get stuck like that i fast travel to the nearest clear spot. it usually works.

the most epic battle for me was the 2 overlords in laborynthium.

first one used up most of my health potions and i had Lydia with me.

second overloard at the bottom of the well no lydia and few health potions.

it took many reloads but i finally beat him.

sometimes it is better to be lucky than good.

Funniest - Taking a guy out with a bow at long range off the bridge between the two towers for the champions guild quest line (vilithian towers or something similar) watching the rag doll summersault down off the edge and splash into the water was side splittingly funny !

Epic - Getting the Krosis dragon priest pop up out of his tomb and scare the bejesus out of me .. then taking a good 20 minutes to sneak attack him with a bow whilst hiding behind a large rock and then trying to keep him on the other side till i became hidden again .... all at level ~10 !!

Getting stuck in rocks is annoying, but if you're outside, there's a quicker and easier way out than reloading your game: Fast-travel anywhere.

Doesn't work if there are enemies nearby, unfortunately.

oh, wow... i just had a VERY weird kill.

ok, i was sneaking past this nordic ruin infested with forsworn... hag's rock redoubt, i think? some place near markarth.

anyway, i thought i saw a hagraven in the distance, so i shot an arrow... one hit kill.

strangely, after the corpse fell, i saw something fall from the thing i just killed, and it started rolling down hill a little.

i got closer and saw the rolling object was a skull... a goat skull.

i got closer to the corpse, and it was a goat!

funny enough, my arrow hit it in the face... and it went almost all the way in!

its up to the feathers on the arrow, and the goat's eyes are WIDE open.

that is just... creepy, and funny at the same time.

I quite enjoy bombing forts and camps with Frenzy and watching them fight it out.

The funniest death I regularly witness is Iona, armed with a bow of paralysis, shooting someone and then hitting them with a double handed axe. They freeze in position and then cartwheel when she wacks them, gets me everytime.

I concur, running up and down the big hill about 30 times, hiding in the rocks, dodging fireballs and trying to collect back some arrows from the snow from all my missed long range shots. Definitely the best battle I've had so far. Probably one of the rare few that actually presented some kind of challenge.

I thought it was quite fun/funny to just shoot the orphanage lady square in the ass making her fall face first, dead, into the undoubtedly horrible warm orphanage goo that she was preparing for the poor, poor kiddies.

Or just chasing foxes and rabbits with a battleaxe like a madman.

I love this as well, to the point where I'll reload a save file if I've missed a prime opportunity.

As for funny kills, I like luring mobs into traps such as swinging axes, then turning them on. There's a set of stairs in Hag's End that has 3 gates with spikes, can lure a few witches into it.

My most epic funny death so far was my own. I hit quick save while clearing a tower of bandits just then a the bandit chief rounds the corner and beheads my mage with a great sword. Reload. Mage is run through with a great sword. Reload. Another death cut scene. Reload. An hour of laughing later I try and get out of the death loop, and proceed to back off a bridge into the rocks below. Reload. Take invisibility potion but apparently the bandit chief was in his back swing and still killed my invisible mage. Reload. A few attempts later I get my mage across the bridge and out the opposite tower. Sabretooth. Reload. I then get my mage down the opposite tower and confirm he is not being pursued and re-save.

This was actually pretty irritating. I had just come out of the Dwemer ruins after getting Grimsever. I checked my heads up display, and saw a Stormcloak camp. At the time, I had not picked a side, so I was still able to talk to the guys and snoop around without starting a fight. I started wandering over there and heard a wolf howl. I crouch, nock an arrow, and start creeping for the kill. I find the wolf on a rock ledge about 50 feet away, line up the shot, and let fly. Right as I do, the wolf runs off. About half a tick later, i hear the arrow strike sound effect, see the "critical strike 2x damage" message pop up, and all of a sudden there is 20 red dots on my heads up.

Turns out the arrow missed the wolf, and killed a Stormcloak in their camp. The whole rats nest went aggro on me, and I had to drop them one after the other as they came over the ridgeline that the wolf had been on, all Legolas stylez. Rough fight, with almost no loot because the one idiot is immortal and wouldn't let me heal, or die himself.

The funniest kill I had was sneaking up under a Forsworn who was straddling two boards with a gap in the middle and firing a few arrows where the sun don't shine. Pickpocketing a Briarheart's heart and watching him fall over is pretty fun too.

I can't think of any sweat running down my forehead hands shaking epic fights in this game yet. Otar the Mad without any shock resist gear was probably the toughest fight I've had. It was pretty much a cat and mouse game of bow sneak attacks. Not very glorious, but it worked.

Putting an arrow through the throat of a new bride as she was addressing her guests (dark, I know)

Jumping in the water and swimming under the dock where my target was standing, making my way up from the other end of the dock and sneaking up on him right as a guard passed by, slit his throat and was back in the water before anyone knew what happened.

Beheading M.F. at the scene of his ultimate betrayal was also VERY satisfying.

I saw a Saber Cat so I rushed him as soon as he spotted me. I used that 1h perk sprint attack and the cat flipped backwards over my head and hit the ground dead.
