I used to have a shrunken down version of the official Royal Guard Wallpaper for Tribunal. And then once I got my Morrowind install looking nice I snapped a screen shot of a Hi-res Royal Guard and made my current avatar. I just recently added the Studio badge for the group I'm currently working for.

I've tried to keep the same Avatar so that I retain my sense of identity

I started off with the one I have, but for a while http://mediacdn.snorgtees.com/media/catalog/product/i/m/imtrippingyou_fullpic_1.jpg was my avatar. I changed it back to what it was and I don't think I'll be changing it again any time soon.

I'm pretty sure I've always had this one. I joined the year that the Dark Knight came out, hence the name and Joker avatar. I've always liked the sense of allure and mystique behind the joker character. I might change it soon, maybe if I see a nice new one.

Didn't you also have one in black and white with some guy on a horse?

I also remember Turns-The-Page having one of the Dunmer presets from Skyrim.

Don't have any specific uploaded files of them, but the two other avatars I've used on forums in the last few years have been the "http://www.topatoco.com/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=TO&Product_Code=DC-BISCUIT" image from Dresden Codak, and several variations of http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php?date=20070627 from Girl Genius.

I've had a wolf which is an impressive animal.
For the longest amount of time, a Vendel age image of Odin.
I forgot my first ones. There was possibly a dragon among them.

I started off with a Homer Simpson avatar, changed then to a Guns N Roses one and then to a spirit wolf thingy. I then Changed to my current Overkill pic, changing only for a few weeks over halloween when I changed to a picture of Simone Simons as an Avatar (from the movie) but have since gone back to Overkill.

I am considering a new avatar at the moment though

My very first avatar was one of the forum default ones (Dark Elf, iirc). After that, it was the red Cobra logo from GI Joe. After a while, I changed that to a green/gray version of the Cobra logo with my username in the middle. My current avatar switches between that and a symbol from the I Ching (with the same color scheme)

Some drawing of a hooded Elf, an Aum, another chibi Zelda, an anime halloween witch, and http://www.tamsquare.net/pictures/K/Wassily-Kandinsky-Balancement-.jpg by Wassily Kandinsky. And something I made myself which looked like an x-ray of a Giger-esque foetus. Meanings? Nah, that would mean some form of rationality and purpose behind my thought processes.
