Your single worst game that you have ever played and finishe

Post » Sat May 12, 2012 9:40 pm

Name them.

I'll just say this so no one else does.

Black Ops CoD Campaign.

Keep in mind that I said worst game that you have played and finished from end to end. That could easily be a fairly good game.

The worst that I've actually played from beginning to end? Well, it's not the same thing as the worst I've ever played period, but I'd say, off the top of my head, Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus.

Dragon Age 2. You know a game is bad when you have to literally force yourself to continue playing and force yourself to visit every nook and cranny and waste time just to find nothing.

I'd say Dragon Age 2, but that doesn't mean I didn't like the game. I actually really enjoyed it, as I often say the main reason why everyone hates it is because Dragon Age: Origins was so magnificently better not because the sequel was so bad.

The reason why it's the worst game I have ever finished is because if I come across a game that I truly don't like, I won't finish it.

From those that I remember at the moment: Fallout 3 (usually, if a game feels bad, I stop playing, but FO3 got a special treatment due to being Fallout, and I genuinely expected more... uh... Fallout from it).

I've never kept playing a game I don't like. Modern Warfare 2 was pretty crappy, sure, but it wasn't painful to play, and for a rental it was good being able to finish it before it needed returning I guess.

Worst games I've played? Dead Space (PC), never played it on console, but the PC port has such shoddy mouse controls I had to turn it off pretty much instantly. Unreal 2 - I remember liking this when it first came out, I thought it had had the best graphics I had seen, it scared the crap outta me too. Then I bought the Unreal pack off Steam, with all the Unreal and UT games in it, played until http://www.google.co.nz/imgres?q=unreal+2&um=1&hl=en&safe=off&client=firefox-a&sa=N&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&biw=1360&bih=659&tbm=isch&tbnid=adGdm-pkXXtCVM:&imgrefurl=http://www.moddb.com/games/unreal-ii/downloads/unreal-2-us-patch-version-1403&docid=dSToMZCJs2S_-M&imgurl=http://media.moddb.com/images/downloads/1/19/18183/Shot000741.jpg&w=1600&h=1200&ei=rREIT87TErGSiQe4zJyiCQ&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=355&vpy=262&dur=223&hovh=194&hovw=259&tx=131&ty=105&sig=112955698896164709648&page=4&tbnh=133&tbnw=168&start=52&ndsp=18&ved=1t:429,r:7,s:52 turned up on the screen, went "HAH!" and uninstalled it.

Too Human, probably. Combat wasn't particularly good, made worse by the fact that the game throws a ridiculous amount of enemies at you in waves over the course of each painfully long, repetitive level. The story wasn't too bad, but having to suffer the gameplay to see it unfold killed any excitement I had to see the next cutscene.

I only finished it because I was going through this silly Achievements phase at the time.

Borderlands. Lets see, boring environments, filled with the same enemies, and it dosent have colours aside from brown, a bit of grey... More brown. Until the end, white.
Boasting its loot system, only to have me kill big bandits, just to get a weapon that does +1% more damage, guns just feel the sme, rockets svck.
3 or so NPCs to talk to, who give you kill X or find X quests.

Now maybe im biased because I didnt play with other people, maybe that makes it playable. But it seemed to have very little effort put in.

Game I never finished becuase it was bad. Dead space. Borderlands had issues, but atleast I could aim properly, dead sace aiming was slow. Add fast moving, small enemies and I just quit. [censored] you dead space.

I can't think of a game that I thought was really bad, yet played through to the end... Closest I can recall is "Bad Day in La"; that game is bad in so many ways (some of them good ; some of them truly ~truly vile), but it was ... well I can't say that it was a decent game ~it tried too hard not to be, but it was amusing for most of it).

I actually enjoyed Two Worlds, and even DA2, though it had its well-documented faults.

For me I think it has to be Quake 4, which was pretty dire.

Well 3 is the same, they brought grenades back, and now you have a holographic knife. Aside from that its the same.

Mass efffect 2 was bad, it turned a good rpg with potential into a shallow tps, and ruined the story. (Its plot was also pointless)

Its not the worst game I have played, its just bad becuase it turned something good, with potential, into a dull tps.

What was so bad about braid? I thought it was a pretty good game.

I don't play bad games all the way through so I'll just say the worst game I've ever played is The First Templar which steam soiled my account with during the holiday sale.

both of these games are good.
yes final fantasy DOC is not as good as other final fantasy games, yes deus ex IW is nowhere near as good as deus ex 1, but both are waaay better than a halo or gears or cod campaign.
