Your wasteland soundtrack?

Post » Thu Mar 31, 2016 12:25 am

Looking for input from others who like to have a music app going in the background with some Wasteland appropriate music!

I like to go with a sort of Retro theme with the occasional post-punk inspired and some Classic rock too. I'll throw in something from the 80's just cuz its funny to juxtapose that sort of lively sound with the visual style of Fallout.

A few that I find really fit in with the theme of FO4 are (artist - song title)

Handsome Family - Far From Any Road

Blondie - Atomic

Johnny Cash - Folsom Prison Blues

Electric Six - Nuclear War

Montrose - Bad Motor Scooter

Arctic Monkeys - 1984

Kasabian - Underdog

Tina Turner - One of The Living (beyond thunderdome woot woot!)

Black Sabbath - War Pigs

Rage Against The Machine - Bulls on Parade

List some of yours, that I may absorb them into my own playlist!

I think Within Temptation's Paradise ks a very suitable song for FO4.

Especially the video which looks like it was filmed in the Commonwealth itself.

Another dsuitable song is Ebbs Gr?n - 800° which chorus starts with that it's cold (war) but that it soon will

be warm (thermo nuclear war) http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=T1sCvLKv7K0

I listed these in another music thread the other day, which I felt worked well with New Vegas.

Unforgettable - Nat King Cole

Walkin' My Baby Back Home - Nat King Cole

Show-Biz Blues - Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac

Blue and Lonesome - Little Walter

There Must Be A Better World Somewhere - BB King

Summertime - Ella Fitzgerald

Rollin' Stone - Muddy Waters

I Am The Blues - Muddy Waters

Lots of blues and jazz, and I try to keep it '60s at the very latest, as most later stuff doesn't fit with the Fallout setting in my opinion. Currently in the process of creating a FO4 playlist but the media player isn't as good on PS4 as the Xbox 360's. Music doesn't dim during conversations or override the game's score, for instance, so it's a bit of a pain to get it to work smoothly. .
