Is 272 armor rating and dual swords with 62 damage on expert

Post » Wed Jun 13, 2012 10:35 am

I got abony armor and weapons with that rating, i do not wear a helmet and i have lvl 85 armor and lvl 93 one handed. I can't help that, it just happened because i fought alot. :P I do have 80 smithing, but that took a long time to do.
Do you think this is balanced? Strong enemy's can take me down sometimes, but most of the time it is not a very big problem. A group of strong enemy's (about 5 or more) can become quite a challenge.

I prefer to keep my ebony armor for roleplaying reasons.

just experiment with the difficulty selection.. no one can really tell you how to play the game because everyone has a different feel for it.

A draugr scourge nearly killed me, mainly because i had no stamina. That could be the weak spot of my character.
I think expert difficulty would do the best then. My character is also supposed to be a little bit legendary in combat. So i guess this should do.

It seems that almost anybody can kill me when i run out of stamina.
I should try to not bring much stamina potions, then there must be a challenge. :D

I have about 380-400 AR and I use a warhammer with about 75-80 damage on expert and I find it to be quite balanced. Stronger enemies have little to no trouble taking my health down and even the meduim enemies can be dangerous.

I think your situation is balanced enough.

Well not everybody (i said it but it was not completely the truth, i especially ment the strong common enemy's)

Common draugr, most bandits and most of the animals won't kill me even when i am out of stamina.
But creatures like higher lvl draugr and strong mages could be a challenge when i run out of stamina.

Hmm. Those stats seem pretty low to me. But, then, I guess it all depends on how you actually run your character in combat. Some people are "good enough" to manage Master wearing cloth and using an Iron sword. (they think the game's far too easy, of course :D). Other people find Adept difficulty enough, even with 400+ AR and weapons doing 80 dmg.

(I'm closer to the second option, of course.)

I try to keep the rating a bit low for my lvl on purpose. But the power attack of my character is incredibly powerfull. I guess it is because of the speed and damage. Which is probably the strength of the character.

So the strength is in the speed, and the weakness appears when the character runs out of stamina. (but that could take a while since the character has quite alot of stamina).
Heh, seems legit.

Very interesting post. What level are you now and what's your magic resistance like?

It sounds like you would benefit greatly from vegetable soup. It gives you stamina regen so that you can make more frequent power attacks.

My weapon does about 40 damage and armor is max at level 50. I find it quite safe. Difficulty level is adept. Maybe I'll try lowering armor a bit.

My character wears a ring which regenerates stamina 20% faster, quite handy. And i have a great resistance to frost magic, it can slow me down but it barely takes any damage. Must be because i am a nord. I am lvl 32.
