360 controller for pc?

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 6:06 pm

Just plug it in.

If it's wireless, you need the adapter, but that too you just plug in.

I don't own a 360, but I play most of my games with it's controller!
If I were to ever get a gaming pc, and any bethesda game, i would use the controller, mouse and keyboard seems so.....bleh.

And it actually has 2 less buttons.
While it does have 2 extra bumpers, it only has 4 D-pad.

I looked into getting that in lieu of this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823109243 for my new rig.

I went with the X for Win.

you know that the corner directions on d-pad aren't buttons but both buttons being pressed at once right?

I can't see giving up 1 of my extremely limited qty of buttons for screen cap.

I'd just reach over and tap a key on the keyboard (like prtscr  ) for screen caps.

I'd want every single button on the controller mapped for combat. d-Pad would have 4 quick slots (mapped to 1-4 on keyboard). 'back/select' would become favorites list... probably map the rest the same as 360 mapping... except I have 2 extra bumpers I hope the PC recognizes as separate buttons

nope. the organic nature of a 360 controller is far too superior to a mouse or keyboard, for me.

i played descent, doom, nuke, wing co., and all the early games and have had both hands assigned and kicked ass playing the games. no thanks. pointing with a mouse and hitting the keyboard are worthless, for me. precision isn't an issue.

all i care about is the customizations, options, and mods, that pc's provide.

however, as a console owner, i deserve a mod kit for... consoles.

uhm... you know the technical impossibilities of your request right?

at best we can hope for some small selection of the biggest, best, and most popular mods to find their way ported to console.

yes, i assume that console developers are not advancing this area, at all.

after newvegas hardcoe, factions, and companion wheel, i expect further development.

gamesas, in skyrim, did no advancement and, instead, cut options. unacceptable.

I'd be happy with that. I'd pay bucko bucks to get OOO on my PS3, along with the Oblivion magic overhaul mod and maybe one or two others. I don't know why the heck Bethesda doesn't get a license for some of those mods, rework them for consoles and release them as DLC. They must think they would not sell enough to make it profitable, but I would pay double for it!

Then what's their excuse. All I am saying is that I would pay a hundred and twenty bucks right now if you could give me OOO and two other good Oblivion mods on my PS3.

I wouldn't pay anything close to that amount....

but I would pay for some choice good mods.

Why? Cause they have to pay programmers to verify that it will pass certification, and then pay MS/Sony to run it through certification, and then pay them to host it for customers....

Yeah, I'd probably be willing to pay more than most. A more reasonable price for three or four good Oblivion mods would probably be about 30 bucks. Problem is that even at that price, the game is so old that they probably could not sell enough to make a profit on it. Most folks would rather buy a new game than spend even half the price to update an out-of-date game.
