[REQ] 3rd Person Camera FIX!

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 8:17 am

Need a fix for the lame over the shoulder POV. I'm pretty good in the GECK but I have no clue how to create a POV mod or else I would do it.

I'll be porting over my camera mod from FO3 soon with all its features, but for now, http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?xezhyd9kld6l94z should do it...

*can't stand off-centered cams either*

Note: I don't have the game yet, but that was made with the NV GECK, so it should all line up. If it works as expected, I'll UL it to the nexus.

Thanks for that, it does help however if possible I would like to be able to zoom out so I can see my character from head to toe the way we could in Oblivion and Fallout 3.

They don't let you scroll in/out in 3'rd person perspective? o_0 Hmmm... without the game I'd be hard pressed to wing that. I'll see if I can manage later tonight once my disc has arrived.

No, but we can wait a little while.

It seems the view is fixed at the hips.

An old wise man once said, " All good things come to those who wait." We wait patiently :hehe: .

I believe they added a new value called fChaseCameraMax. The game currently sets the distance to 120.0. They still let you pull the vanity mode camera out to 600.0, but they limit the third person camera to 120.0. You can open the console and issue the command:

setgs fChaseCameraMax 600.0

This will allow you to scroll the camera for third person mode back to the same point as you can in vanity mode. Note, however, they may have had a good reason for limiting the camera to that position. Increasing the distance back, may screw up things like cutscenes or clipping.
