ok so from what ive seen of the new custimization videos... whenevr you pick a face that starts off as a black guy, you cant make his skin light enough to look like a white guy.. /: and the same goes for the white archtypes. i was kinda dissapointed with this. cuz i like "the chin" archtype but im a white guy so i would prefer playing as someone that looks like me and represents me. i think there is 4 white guy archtypes (the psycho,the look,the nose, and the geezer) 4 black guy archtypes (the bruiser,the suave, the veteran, and the chin) there also appears to be 4 asain archtypes you can choose from (the sour, the sensei, the smooth, and the young)

I think Bear was saying something along the lines of "there are 4 white, 4 black, and 4 asian archetypes to build off of. What bums me out is if you make a black archetype really light, it still won't be 'white' and a really dark white archetype won't be 'black.'"

im not racist.. -_- im just saying my character symbalizes ME. and im a white guy so i would like to be portrayed as a white guy. im sure a black guy would say the same thing. jeezus if you say black now adays everybody has to jump on the racist train (woo! woo! all aboard!)

But I totally get what you are saying im not so sure about the skin colors either i was hoping you can change the colors from white to black and every color between for all of the archtypes but im not sure at all hope so

@OP, I'm really hoping you can do things like change black guys to white and vice versa. However, it would look weird with an Asian that looks like a black guy, or a black guy that looks white etc. I really wish there were Hispanic archetypes because I'm latino as well as black.

Sounds dumb, but reminds me of Oblivion. Just yesterday I tried to make a white-raced guy with black skin, but he just ended up looking like he'd been critically sunburnt and probably got cancer.

You can but only based on the general color of the archetype, as far as we know. What we don't know, is if you can give a black archetype a white skin color.

well you can change the tint of the skin color. like you can have a dark black guy or a light skinned guy (brown). another example is you can have a very tan white guy but he will still look like a white guy. long story short, you can change skin color but not enough to make the archtype look like a diffrent race.

Okay, but i've read somewhere that you can change your character's face to be another archetype's, so you could take archetype 1's face and put it on your character that might be based off archtype 2

Maybe if you are so worried about playing as a black character, don't choose a black character, choose one of the ones that are white...
