About the wind, jumping and combat

Post » Tue Jun 12, 2012 3:12 pm

Dont know if anyone mentioned this, but i find it funny when:
-the wind blows, but my hair and clothes dont move
-when i jump, my hair doesnt fly along or move
-During combat, even with mods that alter blood(e.g. crimson tide), the enemy will be full of cuts, but you run off with no bruises nor blood.

Its no big deal, just curious.

I'm not sure Bethesda (or any open world RPG for that matter) can do stuff as technologically advanced as that with the 360.

I dunno, I have played other games where clothing and hair have definitely had more movement than in TES games. I just never thought of it (hair especially) as their strong points.

Yea great animations are not a strong point of this series. They are a little better with Skyrim but it would still be nice to see them look more realistic. The jumping still looks stupid. I really can't play this game in 3rd person so I don't really care if my hair and clothes move anyway.

Cloth physics are really taxing on a system, especially if it has to render them for multiple references.
Since TES tends to be a little unoptimized as it is, this would just be a nice way to set fire to a 360 without a lighter or a match.
