Aela the Huntress of the Companions is the other option, but you won't be able to recruit her as a full follower (and thus be able to take your money back) until you've completed the questline for the Companions.

You can get a few points of (mostly) free archery training by visiting a hermit up in the hills southeast of Falkreath, though...

Call me crazy but you could always just shoot things with your bow and arrows to raise you skill. If you are going to glitch your training anyway just use the console to cheat yourself and god character and go have your fun.

If your archery is 60 then Faendal couldn't help you anyway as he only trains up to 50.

I'm playing an archer now myself but I plan on taking my time with it. Honestly by the time any of my skills were at 60 I had more gold than I knew what to do with anyway. You can only buy and furnish so many houses.

Archery is a slow leveler when you get up there! Im just past 80, and I have used training by Aela, and the Riften guy (he cost me 20000), I may have used Faendal early on, but he wasn't a follower and I didn't have much coin.

But.... using sneak and bow as much as I could, i got it up there. And now, man, my bows do major damage. Bow's my favorite weapon.

My first character was an archer and got to 100 in both archery and sneak by level 55. I don't remember using much training at all though I may have had the Warrior stone perk.
And yes, sneak damage and full archery perk tree with a little alchemy makes for a deadly sniper.
