Hey, i looked around and couldnt find anything about it so i decided i will post here to see if i could get an answer. I am an achieveaholic and was just wondering if the PC version of Fallout: New Vegas will contain achievements just like the Xbox 360 version will. I know its early days and i may not be able to get an answer which is fine but just wanted to know if it will so i can decide on which version of New Vegas i am going to pre-order.

Probably not, since it's not being run off of GFWL. It's being run off of STEAM, and I'm pretty sure they don't have achivements/trophies/whatever for their games.

Steam has achievements so most likely Fallout:NV will have Steam achievements.

Yep, Steam does indeed have achievements, so I'd be really surprised if Obsidian doesn't use Steam's achievements functionality for New Vegas.

yeah i have Fallout 3 on steam when it was a deal and it unlocked achievements for my xbox account so it probably will have achievements and just wanted make sure that this one will too.

Also i found a place that taking pre-orders for ￡22.95 which is pretty sweet

Fallout: New Vegas will be using Steamworks for its DRM, meaning it will have features like Steam Achievements and Steam Cloud. So, yeah, there will be achievements.

yessir steam has acheivements.

Yep it should have achievements, but they are not linkable to the Microsoft Xbox Live/Games for Windows Live achievements. They are standalone to the Steam Cloud.

Adding to what Starforce9 said, they don't have an equivalent of gamerscores, either.
