I started my first stealth character recently and found a new love of stealing. I've spent hours picking locks, picking pockets, and sneaking around. However it's getting to the point where it's difficult to survive out int he wilds. My levels gained from purloining isn't matched with combat skills. It's getting to the point where i have to spend ever cent I steal training combat skills!

Sounds to me that you should just stick to the major cities and travel via carriage then. Or get a BIG bodyguard

Take roads and go by horseback to get to areas, it's a lot less dangerous. I would also suggest investing some perks into the sneak tree that allows you to do damage multipliers with daggers. This way if you get into a bad situation you have a way to get out of it that or invest into some calming spells
