Not really, I like the idea of becoming a blacksmith for coin (which you can already do anyway basically) but having to actually turn up for work everyday seems like a pointless addition. Just roleplay if you want that, I do sometimes with woodcutting. Building your own cities is never going to happen, it's ridiculously optimistic, of course it would be cool but other than modding there's no way that feature is ever going to make it into vanilla Skyrim. Own businesses would be nice, especially if the merchant who previously owned it has died (particularly blacksmiths in dragon attacks !!), makes a use of the place rather than it just sitting their empty and useless.
This, pretty much.
Expanding on the 'own business', would you, like, buy a shop, then hire someone to be the shop keeper, and you can then give him items you find to sell?
I guess that would be better than currently going to shops to sell items because they have a set amount of gold, and you have to go to a lot of different shops to sell your items, whereas this way you could just put all the items you want to sell in the shop, then go off and do your own thing, then you could come back and collect all the money made.

@the person above me (can't multiquote on iPod) - even the Dragonborn needs to make money somehow
