To all of the other users out here who are having troubles with this game. I can deal/cope with the occasional crash, but what is really turning into a game kill is now, is that I can't even save! I had just left vault 3, and was checking out the area, when I had to turn off the game. So, I saved it- came back to the game and tried to return to the last saved point and all it would do is start to load and then crash. I have tired to rename the files, won't work. I went back to the save point (at vault 3) and tired saving the game, reload, crash. I really hope the next patch fixes this stuff. This is far too much trouble just to play.

There's really no reason to start a new thread for an issue covered extensively in other threads. Also it's been posted that this issue will be patched early this week.
