I am addicted to this game

Post » Mon Jun 11, 2012 7:03 pm

I started on XBOX. I played through 2 characters and made them severely overpowered with smithing/enchanting.

I then bought it for PC to take advantage of mods, etc. Was blown away at how much better the graphics were. I started a new character, imposed some roleplaying restrictions to make the game harder, upped the difficulty, and I am officially hooked again.

unfortunately I have little time to play since I work 40+ a week and have fiance that requires attention. How do you all get your fix in?

I am married with 5 kids and work 40+ hours as well as commute 3 hours a day. I play late at night and sleep very little.

Girlfriend? What's that? :ermm:

I keep telling myself to stop playing, but every time I do, I go back two days later with a new character idea.

I hear you man. Love this game too.

I'm in the same boat, work 45 hours /week, and have a 3 year old. I can only get my fix by waking up early on weekends, I find it easier to wake up early then stay up late, because my wife hates getting up early, therefore i have the TV all to myself.

I quit work and dumped the girl. Now I can sit at home all day saving Skyrim from dragons, that is until my bills build up and I get kicked out. Wonder if my landlord would take some Skyrim gold in return for rent. I got so much of it after all.

I play a bit in the morning on the days that I don't go to the gym, and 1-2 hours in the evening. It has cost me some sleep and made me late for work a few times. Good thing I'm the boss.

Work 40 hours a week. The wife hates it when I play Skyrim too much. But Saturday and Sunday I make the time to get in a few hours here and there. Every time my wife spends 2 hours doing her makeup I'm out in Skyrim.

It's difficult to find time to play Skyrim but when something is this important you make the time.

I hooked my ps3 up to a huge Computer moniter and use my headphones, so I can play anytime of the night. It sits next to my bed side. Sometimes when my wife is watching the housewives of Whiterun (oun intended) I slip the headphones on and dive right in.

Thats dedication for you.
I have a very understanding Fiancee who lets me play at my will... Altho i play on PC she watches TV.. i'm thinking of getting it for the Xbox purely for another character as having multiple characters on PC would get messy and confusing (i'd end up saving over my main knowing me)
But if i start playing on the Xbox taking over her TV, i think it'd be a different story.

Work 50-60 hours a week. I can sometimes squeeze in 30 minutes at 5:00 in the morning, or 1 hour in the evening. But SUNDAY is PLAY DAY! Fortunately my hubby is playing too, so we play on Sundays then meet on the back deck for a beer! :foodndrink:

I also have friends wanting me to play that TERA Online game when it comes out, but to me it looks cartoonish, and I am still completely having fun with Skyrim.

DO what I do and hook it up to a CPU monitor and get a good set of headphones

I wish my wife would play so she could understand my addiction. My 5 and 6 year old play Oblivion. they have rules that they cannot kill any people only hunt animlas and trade. They are learning valuable life lessons I try to tell my wife. She ain't buying and I'm in slaes for living.
