Adding polearms and polearm skill to game with DLC

The lack of polearms in the last two Elder Scrolls games has been annoying for me. I can forgive or understand the removal of other game elements. But the lack of polearms is inexcusable. It is such a staple of medieval style weaponry, that I cannot comprehend why Bethesda would want to remove it. It was one of the best weapons back in medieval times.

So I ask that Bethesda add back in spears and other polearms (such as halberds) in a piece of DLC in the future. Make it integrated well in the game: add the new weapons to drop lists and spread them around all over the Skyrim game world. Design them as if they've always been there. Add in a new Polearm skill tree, similar to the one handed and two handed ones, add in new finishing moves and brand new animations.

From a marketing standpoint, including a brand new skill tree and whole new class of weapons to the game would make an exciting sellpoint for the DLC. The weapons shouldn't come on their own of course, but they can be packaged in with a future piece of DLC.
