Adding skills?

Can't seem to find anyone else discussing this, so I figured I'd start a topic.

I've poked around the CK a bit and it's a daunting monster far beyond my ability to use. I'm intrigued though by the Actor Values dropdown under the Character menu tab. All sorts of things are mixed in there and it's possible to add new entries. Does this mean that it's possible to add new skills to the game or are they still hardcoded?

Theoretically possible.

However what the skill actually DOES and governs is probably so deep within scripting and/or hardcoding that it would be pretty much impossible to have new skills actually do anything, have the game recognize them on level ups, have perks, a spot on the skill wheel, etc. Not to mention all the design implications (i.e. how to get the entire game and all NPC's to recognize the skill exists, along with potions, trainers, etc for that skill).

I have actually been working with skills first thing with the Creation Kit, It is possible to change the names of the skills and perk trees, and descriptions, and values. the problems I am having is adding a NEW skill into the mix and getting the information correct to add a new skill such as fishing, or making mining, or cooking into a actual skill and not just a activator. If you want any information for what I have done, Or you have updates on skill please let me know.
