Advanced Radiation Suit

Post » Fri Feb 25, 2011 7:33 pm

So after reading the posts http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1134281-sniper-rifles/ and also reading the Wiki I have decided to go down to Vault 34 to raid the armory and get my hands on the All American. However it turns out that the Vault is highly Radioactive and I would like to have an Advanced Radiation Suit to wear down there for that extra bit of protection but I am not sure where to obtain one. Any ideas?

Well, there are a few choices. There is an Advanced Radiation Suit at the south end of the map. If you head south from Nipton road reststop, across the arid desert, there is a canyon, filled with radiation and golden geckos. Head along there, and if you look hard enough, there is a silver suitcase that has the ARS in it.

However, the easier, and much cooler looking option is to do the "Come Fly With Me" quest. In the underground place where you are tasked with getting the fuel and the component, there is a space suit and space helmet on a shelf to your left as you enter the command room. It gives just as much radiation resistance, more DR (10) and looks much better. it also has a separate helmet with 4 DR.

yeah, I'd grab the spacesuit, don't bother with ordinary rad suits unless you're in a fix

But according to the wiki getting the Spacesuit can cause quite a serious glitch, which is why I would prefer the advanced radiation suit.

How do I go about repairing it? In FO3 there were quite alot available.

ive never had any glitches or problems at all when getting the space suit. Besides i think its better witht he extra dt it had and allows you to where different helmets or hats.

use the rebreather+spacesuit+fireman helmet+axe makes you look like a firefighter just with a red suit.

I'll third the space suit, but I bought a adv. rad suit at crimson caravan, so that might be quicker than going for the space suit.

in Reppcon in the control room there is a space suit which gives +40 rad resistance and that is fairly easy to get since you just kill a couple feral ghouls to get in there.

People are attributing some of the game breaking glitches to every item under the sun.

Truth is no one's sure what causes some of the more serious bugs (aside from developer/tester laziness).
